I have the biggest crate out there, so Kyrie and Regis share a crate. They have enough space to both be on one side of the crate, but Regis always curls up and sleeps on top of Kyrie, haha. I'm never gone for more than a few hours, though.

I used to let Regis roam free before we had Kyrie and I just can't do that. I've tried everything and no matter what, if I leave Regis out he will rip up my carpet :( I think Kyrie would be fine, but I've never tried it.. I think Regis made me not trust leaving a dog out. Eeek.

Upendi and Mina are both crated when I leave. I feel safer this way as I know they can't get into anything to harm them. :)

Saga is crated when I am gone. I have been working her up in small increments and she has been fine and is fine overnight, however there was an incident last week that made me rethink letting her have free roam. I got a call from my roommate in the middle of the day asking if I had accidentally tripped the alarm at home. I was at work at the time. It ended up being a false alarm. I got to thinking that if someone HAD broken in, that she would be safer in her crate.

Rosey gets free roam of the house. When we are gone, she sleeps either on my parents bed or on the couch until we come home. Also, since the other night, I have not a doubt that she will scare away anybody trying to come into the house.

Harley stays out to do as he pleases. i think he spends a lot of the day on the couch (which we allow him to be on) or the floor by the front door if its hot out.

Armani has free roam of my room, which is basically HIS ROOM that I have been granted the right to sleep in, haha... it is all set up for him, easy access to bed, wee wee pad, food, water, toys, etc.

Chloe is crated right now, she is too small and bad to be left alone plus Armani is working on his manners, aka not eating her face when she is annoying... the goal is for them to be able to be together in the room someday, however once she gets ready to leave the crate if that hasnt happened I will just doggy proof the living room for her.

Bailey has free rein. Before that, he had a crate with a connected ex-pen -- a big setup with his bed and blankets and lots of toys. I took it all down when I staged my condo for sale and he then got free access. He's in daycare most work days, anyway, and otherwise left loose in the new house. He'll sometimes rip up stray papers, though, so I have to be careful to pick things up when I leave him. It's good for me. :)

Both dogs are crated. Lucy used to have roam of the house until we realized she wasn't as housebroken as we thought she was.

Juno would actually probably be fine outside the crate if she was just confined to being upstairs, but I know she'd find somewhere to pee if no one was there to let her out. Which sucks because I feel sooo guilty crating her for even minimal amounts of time.

Our bed.

LOL.

sometimes I let them have free run of the house but usually we close the baby gate with the bathroom door and hannahs door closed so they get our room with the bed, the hallway, stairs and downstairs hallway. but I KNOW theyspend all their time sleeping in our bed lol. they take advantage of that time :D

Maya would be fine loose in the house, but she actually prefers to be crated. She gets stressed if she's not in the crate when we leave the house. I would consider myself fortunate to still have a house if I left Murphy uncrated. He likes to chew and anything is pretty much fair game. Even when I'm home I have to watch him like a hawk. He has plenty of bones and other toys, but that doesn't stop him from doing stuff like taking the water bill off the coffee table and eating it. They are crated next to each other in one of our spare bedrooms that only has a bookcase in it. The door is closed as well since Murphy managed to get out of his crate one time. There is very little they could destroy in there.

That's another reason I like having them in a crate. We have a friend whose house was broken into and they killed his dog, I assume because he was a threat. I figure if they are in the crate they are less of a threat and therefore safer. I know the odds of a break in are probably not very good, especially because of how our house is situated (anywhere they could try to get in is within full view of either the neighbors or the road entering our neighborhood), but it makes me feel like they are more secure.

Crated.

In fact, he is in his crate 60% of the time because he loves it there. He burrows in his blankets. Its his den. lol.

Depends on the dog.

Lacey and Jasper can stay out in the yard with access to the house via doggy door, depending on how long I'm going to be gone, sometimes I block the doggy door if I think I'll be gone long enough for them to get bored and destruct my house. Lily gets crated because she hops the fence and such.

Probably on the couch or my bed, lol! They're both out loose and are pretty good so long as we've remembered to lock up all the food.
