Cool thread!

I would like to be a teacher, highschool probably but college would be ideal.

If I have kids I suppose I will start within those five years.

I would like to be well traveled. Traveling never mattered much to me but its catching up.

I don't want to be working where I am by then, I enjoy my job but its not something I care to do long term. Otherwise I am content to float along.

Finished and established in my career of choice.
Getting pregnant with #3 if in a stable relationship.
Riding all the time! God I miss it.

ANd thats it. The rest is all just fine print. I just want to be self sufficient and happy.

I love these threads!

Honestly - I have NO idea. 5 years seems crazy far away to me, and 5 years ago my life was drastically different. (I'll be about to turn 28 in 5 years).

Realistically?
Finished with undergrad,
living on my own - I'd say in NYC, but honestly there are other places I'd be happy,
with a thriving child.

That's really all I've got. Optimistically, I'd like to have finished my master's degree by then, but not sure that's realistic. So I'll say either have/be working towards my master's degree OR have a career that I really like/can make a living on.

I'd like to be moving towards owning some sort of home, either an apartment or house at that time, but not sure how realistic that is.
I'd also like to be looking into giving my child a sibling, but more than likely fostering or adoption.

Another very viable option would be owning a business by then - some kind of music/arts venue, either a club type venue, coffeehouse type deal, etc. But I'm not sure how realistic that is, either - there are other businesses I'd be interested in as well.

I guess I'll go with "In five years I'd like to figure out what heck I want to be doing in 10 years and be on the way to making it happen."

5 years -

I will have a 12 year old and a 10 year old....life may be drastically different as (maturity levels depending lol) they would possibly be old enough for me to leave for short periods of time to run errands and the like. Yes, that will be a huge change!

Otherwise....either still here but with most of our projects in the house done OR on some land starting a farm:)

I am not looking to really change much...animals will look a bit different I am sure (Marley and the cats will likely not be around for 5 years and heck, even the danes who knows)

I should be done with my undergrad (one more year WOOT!).
I want to have a career that I love
I want to have a dog of my own

Right now I'm freaking out about picking a career. The plan to be a vet is a no go, so now I'm lost and panicked, it's causing me constant stress. I can't think of anything that pays a decent wage that I want to do.

In 5 years I'll be 28. I'm just starting my career now and I'm hoping it goes as well as I'm thinking it will.

So in 5 years...

- I would like to make a decent amount of money working full time as a trainer.
- I want to have either bought a house or have it in the pipeline
- Have atleast 1 more dog. Be trialling in aglity with atleast 1 of them.
- Have a full set of agility equipment of my own and the room to set it up at home
- If I do have kids I'd probably want it in the next 5 years but its not really a priority.
- To not be married

I want to be a horse trainer (officially) with a well established stable of my own, also I hope to have the farm fixed up to be a training center by then.

I also want to own a cane corso & / or a dogo argentino.

In five years I will have just turned 26...

I would like to be well on my way to finishing, or have finished, a degree in something... most likely related to Environmental Sciences, though it would be super amazing and awesome if it was in Rangeland Management.

Own a house, which we may achieve next year. Preferably with enough acreage to self-sustain, but that may be a little further down the road.

Have some cows? I would love a horse again and to be somewhat of an accomplished sorter/cutter/roper.

Get more involved in herding with the ACD's.

To meet some financial goals and be in a career I enjoy.

Also, to continue to have a healthy and happy marriage and all of that sappy stuff. :p

I'm a bit older than just about all of you :p, but in five years I hope to...

-Be doing the job I am doing now, or some extension of it. I love my field and have great coworkers, and get to do good work.

-Either have our place set up better for us or have sold it and purchased/built some place better suited for us.

-Have successfully raised the Mirapuppies and have them all thriving in excellent homes.

-Still be happily married to my hubby, and I hope that he will have also found a job position where he can thrive.

-Still be learning about and loving agility, and burning it up with my happy, healthy, eager pups :)

I am loving where I am in life right now. I am enjoying being married with enough disposable income for home projects and vacations, a job that gives me a sense of purpose, and really good friends.

In 5 years, I'll be 32. Maybe we will have moved into a nicer home, maybe not. I wouldn't mind having left the classroom for a corporate, education focused job. I would LOVE to have moved to somewhere warmer.

I am so thrilled that I have seemingly moved beyond they scared, nervous, spinning in circles phase of my early 20's when I didn't know what I wanted and wasn't happy with what I had. At 27, I am quite content.

In 5 years I'll be 34 (OMG IMMA BE SO OLLLDDDDD). I hope to still be with my current job, not still be living with my mom, and at least have a boyfriend? lol. I would also like to have all my current dogs still be with me, and perhaps fostered a few dozen animals.

AND ALL THE AGILITIEZ I WANT!!!

Cool thread!

I love how young most people here are! Around my parts, I'm so incredibly weird for being 24 and already having 2 dogs (soon to be 3)...people think I am insane. It's nice to know there are others out there!!!

In 5 years...

Tough. I am really, really happy with where I am in life right now, but it's possible I might be bored with it in 5 years. I hope not. Really, I'd like to still be living where I am living, with the same guy I'm with now, no kids please, a few more pets, and, OH, more money please!! I'd like to have figured out where I want to go as a trainer and actually be making money that way. Less boarding, more training.

But I'm pretty happy with life on the whole!

In 5 years I will be about 32.... Yikes! I'm almost 27 right now.

I would like to have a kid or two by then. Don't really want more than two kids.

Hoping to by a house within 5 years.

Would like to be further set in a career of my own, self employed and able to choose my hours so I can manage being a stay at home mom and still make income.

Hoping josh is making enough money at that point that we can afford for me to manage being a stay at home mom (though like I said, I'd hope to still be making some money on the side doing my own thing).

I'd like to be debt free (aside from house mortgage).

I mainly just want to be happy and starting a family honestly.

I'd like to be done with my bachelor's in dietetics and working as an RD while I finish up my master's. I would like to be in the best shape of my life and still working out 5 days a week. Possibly have learned French, be able to drive a motorcycle, and either taking an acting class or occasionally acting in local theater. Also, I would like to be very involved in Chloe's dance and gymnastics ventures as well as toting her around to horse shows :) (I make goals for me and my kid! lol she is in dance and gymnastics now and I plan to have her in riding lessons in a couple of years)

Edit* Hoping to own a house by this Christmas so by 5 years from now I would love to have every room exactly how I want it decor-wise. If you knew me you would understand why this might take more than 5 years. We have lived here 3 and I got so fed up that I never even bothered to decorate like 4 of the rooms. If we build we definitely won't be in a house by the end of the year and it will definitely take me 5 yrs to get everything done! lol

5 years...I'll be 30.

I'd like to be thriving at my current workplace, just about celebrating our 5 yr wedding anniversary, lots of sport titles/experiences with the Crossbone, either adding on to our home or buying a house, getting in a better financial position (paying off credit cards & loans) and go on many more travels.

I am soooo happy with where I am in life & the beings in it. I'd be thrilled if things didn't change for the next 5 (except for the more dog sports & better finances)

Kids doing well and happy, done with my degree, have a successful business and buy a house. Bonus if it's a house with land.

In 5 years...

I will have decided if I want to get my master's or not

Be living on my own (tiny) hobby farm...(most likely renting a place at this point).

Writing an email inquiring about future ANCD litters or bringing one home. LOL.

And possibly be married... I'm in a long term now, we've discussed the possibility....

^That! Though I'm 28. ;)

I really do like where I am now, but in five years I'm hoping/planning to be:
- still totally in love with my wonderful husband
- considering moving to a bigger house further out, maybe even building!
- a happy, relaxed mom of one kid
- a fitter, better eating version of my current self
- still successfully running my own dog training business and competing in a variety of dogs sports

Z will be 11, Kes will be 9, Aeri will be 7, and Snipe will be 6.5, so they should still all be with us. <3
