We live in a dog-heavy apartment, there's 5 garbage cans outside on the property. 1 at each entrance way and 1 in the middle of the field beside a lamp post. Poops typically go in any of those trash cans.
When we get a house, we'll probably just set up a compost bin or something in the backyard and put all the poop there.
