Depends on where we are going and who I have with me.

Solo trips to like a pet store or something, they will wear their EL collars with a leather or nylon leash.

Walks Bubbles wears her ComfortFlex harness and is walked on a custom Karma Collars leather waist leash. She wears her Lupine martingale or EL collar depending on which one I grab for the sake of having tags on.

Kimma walks on her Lupine martingale and biothane leash. If we're going for a long hike, I usually put her in her Ruffwear Front Range harness.

Solo walks Jari wears his Lupine martingale with a nylon leash. Walks with the girls he's in his ComfortFlex harness with the martingale or leather collar on for tags. Long hikes he wears his Front Range harness.

I have other random things (slip leads, leather slip collars, etc.) but the above encompass the main supplies we use.

Sometimes just a flat collar. Sometimes a harness (Sure Fit). Prongs if we're going somewhere crowded/where I want good control.

Leashes are either biothane Stunt Puppy, Mendota slip, or New Earth (soy I think? I don't know but it's much softer than nylon lol).

If it is a short walk somewhere downtown (like the beachfront), I throw on a martingale and a Zumi lead. If we are hiking, everybody is set up in our canicross gear. :)

Henry wears a collar 24/7, usually a well broken in 1.5 inch leather martingale. I have a couple of nylon collars that are soft enough not to rub that we sometimes use. He is loose in the house all the time so I want him to always have ID on him. When we go for walks I have 6 foot leather leash for him that I've had for about 15 years now. Very soft and strong. He never pulls or acts a fool so no training gear required.

Rhys is naked until it's walk time. Then he wears a heavy duty leather or nylon 1.5 or 2 inch collar. He's almost always walked on his prong, unless I'm working him (with a backpack or dragging weights). When I'm working him I just use the flat collar. He pulls a bit but not badly because he's engaged in something else. After he's super exhausted I will work with him on walking nicely on a flat collar.

I never walk him in a harness anymore. He feels a harness on him and his brain goes into weight pull mode. Completely impossible to walk. So to keep from discouraging him from pulling my arm off in a harness, we pass on that. Even hiking, where he does pull somewhat, I just make sure he's wearing a 2 inch collar.

My Tibs

Tibs and I walk only twice a week this month, since the weather is not permitting as of late. Our walks usually lasts a couple of hours and involves some time off leash. Tibs usually responds better after a walk and it is obvious how she enjoys going outside of our compound.

For Chalo, just a flat collar and 5-foot leash. Usually a martingale for Priya. Neither have them have ever tried to back out of a collar, but she is the less predictable of the two/a greater flight risk if she did get loose.

If we're hiking in an area where they both need to be on leash, they're attached to harnesses.

Lately I've been using slip leads when I take them both running. They both have good loose-leash walking skills, but if there are any squirrelly surprises (literally), it helps me more easily finesse 80 pounds of dog at high speeds.

Flat collar, convertible leather leash, leash is removed as soon as it's safe to do so as she's reliable offlead.

When she was working, she wore a harness with the leather lead strapped over my shoulder, and a gentle leader on a very thin kangaroo lead which stayed looped around my wrist or tucked in my pocket.
