I like slip leads and martingale leads for just going on single walks or to Flyball or Agility. For group walks, I prefer to have at least one dog on a multi purpose lead so it's one less leash to hold, and the rest are either on slip leads or 4-6ft leather leashes. 1/2" to 5/8" only. And with two exceptions, I only like to use biothane or leather. Unless it's a slip lead, then rope like Mendota (or Zumi) uses is good too. I just hate nylon. And if I am being super picky, I like brass hardware haha. Or at least the hardware has to match whatever collars I am using.

I am a four foot leather person. Except for the 6 foot one I got from Nola's mom - that's awesome because it gives two more feet for Liz to drag behind the rest of us when we run.

6'. Usually nylon. I'm not all that picky, just so it's sturdy enough to hold the dog. I don't give the dogs the full extent of their leashes when we're on the sidewalk, but when we're walking through a park, or if we're hiking, I let them have the full 6'.

For agility, they have martingale/lead combos, and I'm not really sure how long those leads are. Probably 4'.

I use, mostly, kennel leads when I show or go to town.
In Fr,the standard length,is 1m unless you buy on internet or at shows.
I make my own leather leashes so I love 5/8 or 3/4 by 5ft.
I,also,love Euroleash but only,have them,in nylon.

Oh, and I do have a nylon rope slip lead that I bought from Tractor Supply that I use whenever I need to quick leash the dogs (aka, Abrams) as they don't wear collars when they're in the house. Made potty training SO much easier. That was also is "go into public" lead until I bought the biothane leash, as the only other leash I had was a flexi or a gross heavy woven nylon leash that I despise.

Flexi Lead :p

I also had a 5/8" 15' rope hands-free lead for when we were at events that required a fixed lead. Or swimming. Or when we met up with stardogs and I didn't want to be that asshole that brought a flexi :p

OMG I am so picky about matching too, but the problem is I use a harness for Jackson and no harnesses ever have brass hardware. So he's always got the brass hardware on his collar and leash but not harness, Grrr, drives me nuts.

It needs a handle at one end, a clip at the other, and the middles needs not to break.

I'm not picky :p

But my very favorite leashes are my 30 foot one and my 15-20ish foot one... coil them up and hold tight if you want a short leash, let it out if you want a long leash :) I do a shorter 4 ft one when we're in public places...

I regularly grab my 6 foot white pine leashes, 6 foot biothane (a little wider than I'd like), my coastal nylon multi-function lead, or my 26' flexi. I have other leashes but they don't get much use.

I like thinner vs thicker and my white pine leashes are about ideal width for me. The coastal is okay

Right now...I have a leather slip lead, that I do like, and use often. I use it a ton around the house. But it is a tad too thick and a tad too short. It also lost it's 'stop', so I have to be careful it doesn't open and fall off. I also have a martingale style slip lead that is like nylon braided rope, I don't use it too much but I do sometimes.

My go to leash when I want to use a specific collar, I have a Comfort Microfiber leash that I LOVE, but the more I use it, it is wearing out. I've been looking at various leashes online for a few weeks and trying to decide what to try next.

My go to leash for my work dogs is my 5' 5/8" biothane or my 5' 5/8" Karma Collars leather.

For Snipe or Z, my go to every day leash is my 6' 3/8" Texas Leash Company leather.

For Kes and Aeri, my go to every day leash is my 5' 5/8" Guide Dogs for the Blind multifunction leash. J&J makes similar ones - I think they supply GDB, but GDB sells them for cheaper.

I think my leather leash is 5'.

I have a 20' long line for when Brooks is running like a loon in the mountains

5/8" wide nylon, 4' in public, 6' out in the woods or when I have multiple dogs. Never used anything else so can't really comment.

It depends. When I walk Sally out in the boonies at my moms she gets a harness and flexi. Anywhere else it's a six foot leash-my fav is a soft braided leather one. Jack typically uses a six foot braided leather leash as well.
