These may be a little hard to see, but it was as close as I could get.
Both "things" are raised, with holes at the top with scabs.
This one is on his front leg, and it's brand new - just opened up Saturday night:
This one is on his back. It's more raised, and when the scab falls off the swelling goes down and it just...oozes. See the place where the hair kind of looks like it clumps? He's had this for a few months but I didn't really think anything of it until the one on his leg showed up this weekend.
I wish I could get better pictures, but I'd have to pull the scabs off. It's really gross.
A pretty good "likeness" of what the sores look like fresh...imagine strawberry shortcake without the strawberries in the middle. Kind of like a volcano?
Hopefully nobody was having that for dessert tonight.
Thoughts anyone? He's going to the vet on Wednesday. The last time I had him anywhere out in the fields was tracking in November, but he had the one on his back prior to that. Otherwise he's a pretty suburban dog. He visits the club about 4 times a week and the pet store every other.
