I personally don't think it's any worse than naming your dog Jameson or Guiness or Whiskey, but I also think those names are pretty stupid. Along with naming your dog Ferrari or something because you wanted a nicer car but got a dog instead. Granted, the dog won't notice, but I'll probably think you're kind of an asshole.
