Hi guys!

We are trying to figure out what kind of dog we have. We just adopted him from a shelter. The shelter says he is a Terrier Mix. But we want to know if anyone knows what his other half is. Thank you all :rolleyes:

Name: Hachi
Age: 1 year old
Weight: 26lb (he is medium size and will not grow any bigger)
Personality: energetic; very friendly; very curious (rarely response to us when taking outside)

Here are some of his photos: (We think his one half looks like border terrier because of his eyebrows and some tough fur on his back...but his other half is always a puzzle

Your terrier is very cute! I can definitely see the border terrier, but as to what else there could be, I couldn't hazard a guess. I almost want to say some sort of hound.

Oh my goodness! He is freakin' ADORABLE!! I thought Border Terrier mix as soon as I saw the first photo. I was thinking Beagle, too, until I saw the one of him standing- he's too tall for that. Looking back at the pic of him looking into the camera, I'm thinking I see some Lab.

He is really cute! I know a dog that looks A LOT like him, and is a schnauzer mix. Maybe Schnauzer/Lab?

Something with an underbite! That little lower jaw looks like it sticks out a bit! hee hee.

Do Border Terriers usually have underbites? I don't see many of them and can't remember if they tend to or not.

OMG .... SOOO cute. Can I come steal him?! :p

I definitely see Border Terrier. From his body shot, I almost even see Border Collie but maybe that's a long shot. Possibly Schnauzer too.

They don't, but any breed can have an underbite from poor breeding, or even from problems that occur with puppy teeth.

I like the border terrier/schnauzer guess!

I'm going to say there's a lot of breeds in there. Most mixes aren't half and half. Some sort of terrier for sure (I'd guess schnauzer personally). There was a dog down the street growing up that looked similar although bigger by about 20 lbs. They called her an airedale/GSD but I'm not sure if they just guessed or knew for sure.

What a good looking dog. He could seriously be in the movies. He's got that personality filled face. Definitely terrier and something else with long legs! LOL.
