What I heard about pit bulls.

I was outside. There were two teenage girls walking down the street. Approaching from the opposite direction, same side of the street, was a woman walking a pit bull.

Girl #1: (nudging friend) "Let's cross to the other side. That's a pit bull."
Girl #2: "Are you actually freaked out over a pit bull??" (insert eyeroll) "Oh Em Gee. That's SOOOO '90s!"

The girls continued walking down the street without crossing by, and the pit bull and its owner passed by them without incident.

I hope this is a sign that progress is being made.

Last night it was 'once they taste blood, that's it'. From a lady dogsitting a pitty. Oh and even better, she's a breeder of english mastiffs. Even better, she has a 'breeding pair'. And even even even better, the male is a sweetheart but the female is people aggressive.

It was one of those smile, get the item bought off of the website and get the heck out of the trailer park before saying something about the whole situation. Can't fix stupid sometimes.

It seems the people I meet have a 50/50 opinon. Either they think Pit Bulls are just dogs, or they think they are man eating monsters. There is a lot of good public image regarding pit bulls from celebs and such...but there is also plenty of bad public image, and I really think it shows. But yes, I do think progress is being made!
