What happened?

What Beanie said.

And FB. I had two babies and joined mom groups, not currently able to foster, and TBH now I don't post for training advice because I feel like one of the more experienced trainers here. A recent post to introduce yourself here showed a much younger demographic than there used to be.

The forum was also sold or taken over somehow, and whoever owns the site doesn't have a presence on the forum. I think they just up kept it because it brought traffic to the site.

Can someone share the link to the Chaz FB page please.

^ this please

About the loading issue, I had that problem but it fixed if I typed www in front of the url, as usually I had typed just "chazhound.com/forums". That fixed it for me. I'm not sure if that could possible fix the problems you guys are experiencing?

I am in the same boat

Hi Doberluv

We were active on this forum around the same time and also wandered back around the same time LOL

I also had no idea how to find the facebook group and I am very glad I now no what it is called.

I miss how active this forum was too but still like to check in. I got interested in the forum again after I got my Belgian Tervuren pup. Summer riot who used to be on here is the first time I heard about the Terv breed --and now many years later, I have one and he is wonderful :)

I also still have my Manchester Terrier Zippy. He will be 11 yrs old this summer and is still as feisty as ever :)

I visit this site occasionally but I mostly seem to post on FB now.

I still come on here almost every day. It is really saddening how much slower the forum has become. I don't have a FB but maybe I should make one even if just for the Chaz FB page. I miss active Chaz. :/

I miss the forum. FB is not 100% the same as Chaz. About the only reason I'm even on FB is to keep in contact with all the people from Chaz and other dog people.

I agree. I like FB but I greatly prefer a forum format for discussions. I do miss the heyday of chaz :(

Well...I don't do facebook so I'm out of luck I guess. It's funny how things evolve. I wonder if some kind of trend happened here that people got sick of or something...and just stopped coming. I guess if there's facebook. Well, I hope everyone is well. I like talking about feeding raw since I started doing that in December. It's fascinating to me. So if anyone has anything newsy, I'll still pop in now and again. Thanks for your replies.

I also have mainly just stuck with the FB group, but hey if this forum is making changes I may hang out for a bit and see what happens.

I think most people just communicate on Facebook now. That's where I find most of the people I want to keep in contact with from Chaz and then we have a Chaz moms group on Facebook, as well, so that fulfills most of my needs LOL. I think it's been a few months since I logged in here. I like the new look.

Update: I'm 37 1/2 weeks pregnant, so that's exciting. Another girl, Emma Ann. Ready for her to make her appearance. I'm done being pregnant now lol

Well, I just sent in a request to the FB group . . . What happened to me was that my work decided Chaz was a drug site and blocked it . . . made it hard to poke my head in regularly. Now they've switched security providers and no longer block random parts of the internet for completely random reasons <rolls eyes>

Once in a while I visit the forum but my online time is mostly spent on FB now. It has every thing I need in one spot, chazhound group, Toy poodle groups and other non dog interest groups.

I've watched it over the years and between the site changing alot, some peoples loss of interest, people switching to facebook, and cliques slowly made it decline till what we have today...its sad but what can you do

I know no one is going to see this - the last post on this thread was YEARS ago.

I used to be pretty active here. I've forgotten my login information, user name, and stuff.

I stopped posting here because things got weird back in the day. It seemed like if you weren't some sort of dog trainer, you got jumped on if you tried to give practical advice to anyone. If you didn't feed your dog the most expensive dogfood on the planet, you were a neglectful and bad pet owner (which is funny, because several of the brands that were recommended on the regular here have had contamination issues or have been proven to not be exactly what they claimed to be).

There were also a bunch of cliques, and if you weren't part of that, you might as well just eff off. Not exactly an environment conducive to attracting newbies.

I liked talking about dogs, and I've got a new one. So I thought I'd poke around and see if any old advice might be here to help me get this guy into shape.
