Aaron was making fun of me earlier for the amount of dog books I have (they're all organized by subject in my book cases) and I got to thinking... I do have a lot. lol
Here's a list:

The Dog Body Danguage Phrasebook - 100 Ways To Read Their Signals by Trevor Warner

Giant Book of the Dog - From Chartwell Books, Inc.

The Dog's Mind - Understanding Your Dog's Behavior by Bruce Fogle D.V.M. M.R.C.V.S

The Canine Chronicle by various authors (I guess its actually a magazine, but I've never seen another one)

The AKC's World of the Pure-Bred Dog - A celebration of the Pure-Bred Dog in America Edited by Duncan Barnes and the staff of the American Kennel Club

The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Dogs, Dog Breed, and Dog Care
by Dr. Peter Larkin and Mike Stockman

Dog Training My Way by Barbara Woodhouse

No Bad Dogs by Barbara Woodhouse

Guide to Home Pet Grooming (second edition) By Chris C. Pinney, D.V.M.

101 Questions Your Dog Would Ask - Whats Bothering Your Dog and How to Solve Its Problems
by Helen Dennis

The Dog Breed Bible - Descriptions and Photos of Every Breed Recognized by the AKC (Plus recommendations for training, grooming, exercise and more) By D Caroline Coile, Ph.D.

The Home Spa for Dogs - Nose to Tail Treatments to Age Proof and Soothe The Soul of your Canine Companion
by Dr. Jennifer Cermak

(here are the fun ones)

Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul By Various Authors

The Dangerous Book for Dogs By Rex and Sparky

Dog Star by Susan Walker Miccio

I'm curious to see which books you have, and if I'm the only crazy one here who has a ton of them. :)

Not many
I have a couple husky books because I used to have a husky/malamute
Little Dogs: Training your Pint-Sized Companion
Getting Started: Clicker Training for Dogs
The Dog Handbook (I just wanted to look at pictures mostly---it's not actually a good book :D)

Really, I don't have the need for many training type books because I learn a lot on forums and other places on the internet

While we're on this topic, I would be curious what people consider to be "must haves" for dog lovers?

The Complete Dog Book by AKC (I laugh at the title CONSTANTLY! Complete . . . suuuuuuuuuure)
Veterinary Ethics by Jerrold Tannenbaum
Natural Health for Dogs and Cats by Richard H. Pitcairn DVM PHD, & Susan Hubble Pitcairn
Kennels and Kenneling by Joel M. McMains
Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul By Various Authors
The Dog's Mind: Understanding Your Dog's Behavior by Bruce Fogle D.V.M. M.R.C.V.S
Greyhounds: Big and Small by Amanda Jones

I know I have a couple more. They must be upstairs.

I only have 2 and they are both doberman pinscher books, LOL

Doberman Pinschers by Kerry Donnelly
This one I like, it has a health care section and other useful information.

&
Doberman Pinschers A Complete Owner's Manual ( ) by Barron's
This is one of those generic breed books that pretty much has doberman pictures in it with some fodder that applies to most any breed.

Any training books or the like I have checked out from the library and returned :)

None of the spiffy ones, just like... Encyclopedia of the dog, and dog breed books. I have ONE papillon book.

I just like the pictures.

For The Love Of A Dog is currently sitting on my bed since I've been reading it. The rest are in a box somewhere until I can find a place to put them.

I have wayyyy too many to list, but I'll list a few off the top of my head.
The Culture Clash by Jean Donaldson
The Other End of the Leash by Patricia McConnell
For the Love of a Dog by Patricia McConnell
Bones Would Rain from the Sky by Susanne Clothier
A book on Pugs, no idea why I bought it, I just wanted to read up on a random breed.
I've got some generic dog books that give general (and often limited) info on breeds and health, etc., like The Dog Bible and The New Encyclopedia of the Dog.
I've also got two training books I don't care for because of the methods they use. One of them is Good Dogs, Bad Habits (can't remember the author) that addresses "behaviorial issues" to be treated with shaker cans, scruff shakes, aplha rolls, and on and on. The other is a very old book, the Pet Library's Dog Training Guide. It was written in the 60s using very old, traditional training methods.
And then of course I have an array of dog novels like Where the Red Fern Grows, Sounder, Shiloh, Old Yeller, The Dog Who Wouldn't Be, Marley and Me, etc.

And lots more. ;)

I have the basic must haves for dog training, but I will never have enough, lol. The majority of mine are now at a friends house because she has a new puppy.

I would be curious what people consider to be "must haves" for dog lovers?
I recommend (in this order):
Culture Clash by Jean Donaldson
The Other End of the Leash by Patricia McConnell
The Power of Positive Dog Training by Pat Miller
(Those are the 3 I started out with, and the ones that I reference most and which taught me the most)

Right now I am saving for a very expensive Brenda Aloff book.
