For the past few weeks (maybe month?) I've had this dull pain/ache on my right side just under my rib cage. Sometimes it feels more like it towards my back, but other times it's directly on my side. It comes and goes.

It's also not super painful, at all. Sometimes it causes a sharp pain, but more often than not it's just THERE and annoying. I don't really have any other symptoms that I can think of, it's just that. And I'm able to continue to do everything I want... work, internship, exercise, etc.

My brother seems to think it is either my gallbladder or kidney. Don't think it's my kidney because I drink plenty of water (I've already drank nearly 80 oz today, lol). Don't know much about gallstones or anything like that, my sister and dad did have to get theirs out though.

I have a doctors appointment to get it checked out, but the earliest one was on the 25th. So in the meantime, I thought I'd ask to see if anyone had any ideas :p

When I had appendicitis it sort of started like that, only it was REALLY painful and lasted like two days before it burst/had to have emergency surgery to have it removed. But yeah, right side below the ribcage.

Could the pain actually be coming from your bottom ribs? Sounds kind of like costochondritis. I've had it right around where you are describing, and it took FOREVER to go away. I found out it was in part my habit of sleeping on my hand.
