Rick's desperately wanting a pit bull puppy. He also likes cardis, beagles, shibas, tollers and goldens. Sometimes larger hounds, sometimes not.

ummm, black and tan ones....

No, seriously, when we were picking dog breeds, before getting Hudson, the only thing he could manage an opinion on was that he liked black and tan dogs.

Corgis. He wants a cardigan. Also likes Great Danes and Irish wolfhounds.

The one that really gets me is a goldendoodle. Met a pup at a game and fell in love. I ignore it.

Generic pit bull type dogs. Not like...well-bred APBT. Just the generic pitty type dog you see in shelters. If he got to choose a dog, I'm 98% sure this would be it.

Second are probably Flat-Coated Retrievers (THANKS A LOT, OBAMA...er, MIRA!)

Third is probably a Greyhound. I've countered with Borzoi. And this will most likely be our next breeder dog.

He used to be a huge doberman fan, but he's the first to say that it's because of looks, and not temperament/suitability to our home. Sometimes he says corgis, I can't tell if he actually wants another, or if it's just to ruffle my feathers :p

That surprises me... none! If he'd just stayed at my house all weekend, it would have been easier! :p
We tried to get him to stay tonight, he said no. It is SOOOOO cold here, get ready for tomorrow!

(Also, this morning he fed the cats, and then told me I had to come up and pill them. Rasza hates me. I pilled him and there was no food after.)

Rasza is going to hate everyone pretty soon. He spat BOTH pills out at me the other night (and I feel like I'm pretty darn good at pilling cats). Then he was like "OH HELL NO MOM!" when I shoved it down his throat again. At least he got food after that?

I'm excited to BE home, but soooooo not excited for the cold!

Staffs would be his first choice. He had one before but due to BSL he can't get another one unless it's a rehomed senior.

Other than that he likes anything big and/or muscular with a short coat - most of the short coated mastiffs, ridgebacks, American bulldog.

Good ol' Shepherdy/Spitzy type mutts. I don't think he would every go out and purchase a dog, he'd just go and adopt whatever muttly adult dog called to him.

He has a thing for Wolf hybrids...I could NOT get it through his head that most people claiming they have wolf hybrids really DON'T, and that *true* wolf hybrids aren't suitable as pets. He grew up with two "wolf hybrids" and it really, really irks me when he spouts out "behavioral" reason they were "wolf hybrids" when what he was telling me sounded like a normal dog behavior. But I really don't want to crap all over his memory of his childhood dogs by saying, "Well, I doubt they were really wolf hybrids", so...I just keep my mouth shut.
Anyways, I think he finally understands a bit more after watching a documentary on Discovery that showed an experiment with human socialized/raised wolf pups and how they ended up maturing in that home environment (aka, NOT WELL).

As to what kind of personality does he like? Dogs that are polite/trustworthy with people and animals. Able to be trusted off leash. Able to play physically and be athletic/active. Attentive to its owner, trainable, go anywhere/do anything type dogs, "sophisticated" in their dealings with other creatures. Dogs that prefer and recognize "their" person over anyone else. Plus or minus watch dog/guard dog ability.

He and Abrams get along rather well, he just thinks Abrams is an idiot with no brain. And he's kind of right, so....LOL
