What breeds does your SO like?

The last serious one wanted a wolfdog. I tild him no way, because I didn't feel that hybrids should be kept as pets.

Now he's gone, and the hybrid is here. Oh, karma, you are a bitch.

He's kind of indifferent. He likes German Shepherds because he had one growing up .. but his experience is pretty much limited to the byb GSD he had in his childhood. He also really likes Staffies because he's from Staffordshire and they're basically everywhere over there.

Sabe likes corgis, saluki. cavaliers, frenchies, papillions, and Shar Pei

He doesn't have strong preferences, except that he doesn't care for retrievers and he likes greyhounds.

He likes Bubbles-type dogs

He actually really loves Rotties. Always has.

He loves Chows (thanks to my awesome dogs, lol) But he really, really likes small dogs. If he could have a herd of Shih Tzus and Poms just swarming around his feet, he'd be thrilled.

Labs, Siberian Huskies, Golden Retrievers, Rottweilers and Beagles. That's pretty much the order of preference he has for owning them, too.

My SO had a sheltie before he met me, and has a soft spot for them. Shelties have always been on my personal "no-go" list, and I told him that. He realizes that his was more barkey then we both want though. He loves Bernese Mt. Dogs!! He says that they have too many health problems for him to want to own one though. He couldnt handle the short life span. Id be okay having one though if he really desired it. Aussies, collies, and huskies are the types he likes too. We will probably get another poodle next though because he adores
Draco and how awesome he is.

My SO doesn't have any breed preferences, but he gravitates towards small dogs with pointy features.

Typical guy breeds... English bulldogs, pugs, labs/lab mixes, huskies, pits, boxers, basset hounds, corgis

He likes Shibas and Airedales.

We've been working at finding a good compromise for breeds we both like. So far the list includes GSDs, Dobes, Swedish Vallhunds, both Pem and Cardi Corgis, and a handful of others. So although we're the odd couple in that he likes terriers and primitive dogs, and I like spaniels and some "softer" herders :rofl1: we seem to have an overlap on a certain type, so future dogs will probably come from there.

Spitz types and herders. He'd really like a GSD and I do not. He does not care much for hounds and look at our house. I'd compromise, but I do the training and exercise deals so when he does that he can have more of a choice. I could be talked into an ACD but I don't exactly have a want list.

Hubby wants an Akita, honestly I don't care for their personalities myself. I'd rather our next dog be a Mal or another GSD (We lost our 15 yr old not long ago to old age) I suppose we'll see what happens in the future but for now, we're happy with our crew.

He likes a lot of dogs. He only wants to own german shorthaired pointers.

He's very much a 'stick to what you know' person. Once he finds something he likes he's not interested in anything else!!!

He did want a Labrador originally. Just no!!

He LOVES American Bulldogs and English Bulldogs. Boxers, obviously. Surprisingly Pitties aren't high on his love list, though. He's got a major thing for pointers and Vizslas.

The herders aren't his first pick, but I find him secretly snuggling with them and whispering love words. :rofl1: He really, really, REALLY loved and got along great with Luce and Story.
