I have something like this:

But it's the small dog version. It was from Bed Bath and Beyond.

I also have a ceramic bowl I keep in my bedroom near my toybox so he can drink as he pleases throughout the night. Sometimes he chews on a bully before bed and needs some water afterward.

My guys just have a big-ish stainless steel bowl. It lives next to Meg's food dish. Conveniently close to the kitchen sink, where it is dumped, rinsed, and refilled a couple of times a day. I have a thing about water sitting out for two long. I'm like the kid in Signs. I have about 10 water glasses/bottles sitting around at any moment, because I always need a fresh one. I can't stand my water, or the dogs', sitting around.

We have a Waterboy. Prior to I had a stainless steel bowl, but Charlie tends to dribble and makes a huge mess with a bowlful of water. This one limits the amounts of water that's in the bowl and it continually refills itself.

Any good brands you'd recommend?
I've been using Natural Chemistry's Dental Cleanse for the past month or so...seems to have nothing bad in it. My guys teeth seem...better, too.

Yeah if they don't empty the bowl, I usually dump and refresh a time or two anyway during the day just to keep it fresh and cold. With 4 animals drinking out of it, it's like.... blech. It has to get gross and slobbery at some point.

During the summer it's always a constant battle to keep the water clean. Someone always manages to get dirt in it. And by someone I mean Juno.

Two stainless steel bowls. One giant, one reasonably sized.

Aesop has a stainless steel bucket that clips to his crate as well, since he's a big baby if he doesn't have water in there.

We have a water tower that we refill when Shamoo knocks the empty jug over in a fit of fury.

We also have a toilet.
Omg, my dogs have this habit too. It goes flying across the room when it's empty. :rofl1:

Now that I have more time!

I used to have this one.

But it is horrible to clean and ended up smelling funky and then growing algae. There is no way to take the reservoir apart to clean it. I didn't want to replace it every 6 months.

Now I have this one.

And this is the one that sucks to refill. Usually I fill up a pitcher and just dump it in a few times a day rather than refill it. It opens so you can clean it though.

...I was just going to say, you have a Boxer. :rofl1: I'm pretty anal about dumping/refreshing the water once Harlow has drank. Mainly because of the drool-y spit-y stuff left after her big arse lips have left the water slimey.

I have one of those jug/auto refill bowls but it never grows algae... it hasn't even gotten a film- but I do use oxydent or dentafresh or whatever that water additive is.

For indoors, Orson has one of these:

It's made by Petzone and holds about 4-5 cups of water and gets filled 2 x a day....with breakfast + again with dinner. You can see the bowls go in with that little 'gap' and fit like a puzzle piece. No tipping, spinning or spilling. He still drips though  LOL

Outside in the backyard (in his kennel run) he has a 5 gallon bucket.

We have square Durapet stainless steel bowls in the kitchen.

When we're outside (and not playing with the hose/kiddie pool), I put an ancient (over 20 years old), round stainless steel bowl in the garage. I also keep a ceramic one on the closed in porch during the summer. Water gets refilled as needed.

I had a stainless steel Chum bowl (no splash/spill) for the truck, but it's a royal PITA to clean as well as keep the water level where Caleb can reach it. I bought a Waterboy last fall.

Anyone have any bowls that help with sloppy dogs?

Gwen doesn't drool but she forgets to swallow before leaving her bowl. And licks her lips as she walks towards me. It does me make (more) thankful she isn't slobbery, though

I'm old school. My critters drink out of a ceramic bowl...no, not THAT ceramic bowl :lol-sign: Just a regular old stoneware soup bowl.

I had one of those pet water fountain things, but you have to be really on top of cleaning those apparently. I wasn't and it started making my dog sick - the water *looked* fine, but was growing stuff. Ick! So now it's back to the old fashioned method. I change the water once a day (or more if it needs it) and throw the bowl in the dishwasher every couple of weeks. So much for technology...

The cat and dog share a bowl. I tried to give the cat her own bowl for a while, but she never drank out of it...apparently the dog water tastes better (second only to toilet water...ewww.)

I rinse out my bottle every couple weeks with a bit of bleach, then rinse rinse and rinse it out then let it air dry for good measure. But with the 3 dogs and the 2 cats its emptied ever day-day and a half.

Ummmm.... I'm a "bad" pet owner when it comes to water. We only have a bucket outside that we dump/refill every day.

Revy and Poison are "tankers" they will drink until they burst. Jayne makes a huge mess. So.... they drink when they're outside. They have access to water several times throughout the day, but they don't have 24/7 access.
