I was just wondering how often does everone walk their dog. Do you go more than once a day? I know it depends a lot on the dog but I've had people say I walk my dog too much but I often wonder if it's enough.

This is our daily routine,

15 minute walk around 8:00am

15 minute walk around dinner time

1 hour walk at around 4:00pm

10 minute walk at 8:00pm

What does your daily routine look like?

Lol I think my dog wants to live with you.
:)

My dog doesn't go on "walks" much because he is big and friendly and he doesn't have the don't lunge at people thing down. otherwise hes a great boy but we are working on that.

We take him the the dogpark for about an hour and try to go everyday. If we miss a day we play fetch in the yard.

Its confusing for him I think because, at the dogpark he is allowed to run around and run up to people coming in and run up to the other dogs. So when I walk him I don't think he understands why he can't..

I would like to get him better about that but, its so easy to take him to the park and not have to hold a leash or anything. But i gotta work on it I know.

Ours usually go every other day. If hubby is working and I'm not and I'm home then I will take them, often with my good friend and neighbour. If I don't walk through the day then Hubby and I go after dinner when its nice and cool, and its something we enjoy together. Often we take the kids too so it becomes a family thing.

1 in 3 walks is usally at the off leash park, the others are long walks on lead. Max has arthritis and too much running off leash acts up his arthritis. When we are at the park he sprints like a greyhound, with such gusto and enthusiasm, that he always pays for it the next day LOL. There is lots of ball play and activities at home in the backyard, as we live on a nice big block.

They enjoy all their walks even the on lead ones :)

Zeus is usually walked once a day for about an hour. He also goes out numerous times during the day (basically, whenever he wants) and runs amok in the yard. I have no grass left, he's trampled it all.

Missy gets 15mins in the morning around 6:30am
Maddie gets 15mins around 6:45am, give or take
Then around 6 or 6:30pm (after dinner) I start the routine...
Sometimes I walk Missy and Maddie together on the sidewalks for at least an hour, sometimes they go seperatly so they get 1 hr, I get 2, lol. Sometimes we walk to the park and Maddie gets to romp offleash while Missy is on the retractable leash. Sometimes I take Missy with the retractable to the park and then walk Missy and Carly on the sidewalk...
It really depends on the weather, if its muddy, how much energy the dogs have, how much energy I have, and if its too dark to go to the park (legally), and if I feel like one dog is getting way to much individual attention and the others are now :p

It really depends on the weather. If it's nice out usually we walk twice a day for an hour or more each. Sometimes on a really lovely day we walk for 2 - 3 hours straight. When it's cold out I can only usually stand it for aout 30 mins because my face freezes. There is also a camp behind my house. In the summer we walk down there (off-leash of course because it's just in the backyard) there is lots of room for him to romp around and chase sticks into the river. I take him down there in the winter time also because there is a lot of space to run around but sometimes I worry about him going on the frozen river so I keep a good eye on him. But of course we don't always have to go down to the camp because there is a BIG field behind the house so I chuck a tennis ball as far as I can to give him a good run (it's also on a hill so it tires him out pretty quickly).:)
