I dunno if this has been mentioned at all but all the Cat experts I have been chatting with have brought up that Voodoo is likely a Cat/APBT cross if not Cat/APBT/AmBull or Cat/AmBull. Just something to keep in mind for those who are spreading the word about him ;)
Most everyone I talk to seems to think he's definitely got pit in him. That might widen your ability to search possibly? Has anyone tried pit rescues?

Update on Voodoo:

I've been asked to post an update on the situation. I sincerely apologize for being a bit lax on that lately, but things are just moving at a whirlwind pace.

-The rescues are all falling flat. They either a) have no room, b) won't take bullies/chows/pitties/etc., or c) won't take dogs with dog aggression.

-I'm trying to get a hold of the foster place that Zoom found so I can get details: how long can they keep them, is there a rescue/foster network over there that they know of that will take Voodoo, etc. Unfortunately, the lady I need to speak to is out until Monday. I'll try again then.

-We've worked out a system to keep the dogs seperated for now. It's not ideal for poor little Voodoo (he has to spend a lot of time outside), but it will buy us some time.

-Voodoo goes to the vet today to take the drain tube out of his chest wound (which is healing well). My wonderful vet and his entire staff are also working hard to find Voodoo a home. Maybe they'll have good news for us today.

-And this update is brand-new, as of lunch: We have a lead on a possible home for Voodoo! A friend of my hubby's, with a large house and land in the country, is interested in the little hellion. He's looking for a dog that would work well with his family and children indoors, but will also be a good watchdog--he keeps a collection of custom and classic vehicles on his property. I think Voodoo fits both aspects perfectly. There's only one catch. The guy has to "talk it over with the wife this weekend." So we'll see what happens. I would love for Voodoo to go to this home. A lot of land, a pack of children to play with, a job for him to do, and I would get to see him on occassion and hear updates---it would be wonderful.

Once again, I am absolutely overwhelmed by the support I'm getting. Can you believe this thread has gotten over 6,200 views?? :yikes: Chazzers, my vet's office, coworkers, family members....I didn't realize how many people have come to know and love Voodoo. I never knew my mischivous, troublesome, happy little hooligan touched so many people around the world. It still amazes me and just boggles my mind.

Thank you all so much.

Oooooooo *crosses fingers* that this will work. If not, you must figure that there will be others like these people. It's a matter of communication. And with the whole network working and snowballing, it WILL BE DONE. I'm very hopeful. You guys are holding up well under this stress, it seems to me. Glad Voodoo got that thing out of him and that he's all right. Thanks so much for keeping us in the know. We care so much what happens.

Gemp I am sure you know by now just how much this is an extended part of your family. Our love for our fur kids is boundless. We all here are hurting over this as well and want to see this lovely guy get the chance to be happy even if it means that he has to go to a new home. If you can get these people to take him and you still can be a part of his world then I am behind you. If not then we will all keep trying to do what we can to help. Hang in there and know that we do feel your pain. Remember Allie ?? I was there and know just how bad it hurts.
