Morning adventure and what i, pepper and Victor learned.
I found this guy in the parking lot in front of a tavern this morning. How in the world since there is no close body of water. Almost exactly where i found the desperate box turtle when they had resurfaced the parking lot last year. Here is what i learned. Bull Frogs are SLIPPERY. secondly, do not try to put a bull frog in a large Styrofoam cup. Fortunately i also had a large coffee container that i was going to switch out with the gas station. He saves the coffee grounds for me. So the container was empty and it was able to contain said frog. Pepper learned that frogs hop fast and Mom says NONONO LEAVE IT and since she was a good girl, she did. Victor learned that frogs make him sneeze. I don't know why. Frog had a minor skin injury by his leg so my guess is he was about to be dinner for someone and they dropped him. Since he was a very vigorous hopper, i guessed nothing was broken. I was going to turn him loose at Riss lake so he could hang out with the rich frogs, but there was no where to park my old truck that wouldn't' set the rich police in a panic. So we went to the river instead. And as no good deed goes unpunished when i got back to the truck after turning loose Mr. Bull Frog, i found i didn't' have my keys,. So back we went and yes there they are and yes there is the water snake too. Snake isn't very big, and Frog was huge so he is probably all good. WHat frog learned i wish i knew. I guess he probably FLEW, and then he was grabbed and dropped several times by a woman, chased by a dog, rode in a truck, heard a radio, was inside a house (and a gas station momentarily) and was set free. Wonder if he will croak about it to the other frogs...wonder if they will say NO WAY. YOur making that up.
