I know I haven't been posting lately, but when it comes down to it, Chaz is the only place I can come to with things like this, nobody else really cares. /:

I need get better vibes! A huge part of the reason I'm sick is that I've been bad about doing my treatments...I've been on antibiotics which can only help so much. I just give up. I never thought I'd say this, but I want to go to the hospital. Which brings up another problem...I had a doctor appointment today(I was actually looking forward to it..) and we can't go because the insurance is being dumb and refuse to cover it, even though they ALWAYS do. And because of how expensive the appointments are, there's no way my mom can pay it alone, so I can't go today. Now I'm just stressed...I really don't feel good, what if I need to go to the hospital and we can't afford it? I shouldn't be worrying about these things.

Many vibes sent to you. That's a hard situation to be in. Has the insurance company explained their reasoning? If they have always covered this sort of thing, then why aren't they willing to cover it this time?

Since Ali is still a teenager, she should have an adult who pushes her do the treatments. She shouldn't have to worry about her insurance company issues

Ali, I don't have cystic fibrosis, but I do have asthma (I know it doesn't even begin to compare!). If my mom wasn't on top of me to do my treatments and take my meds (I'm 26 and she still calls me to remind me to refill my meds, and she still sends me refill kits for my nebulizer lol), I would be in a lot worse shape. I'm terrible at remembering to refill my meds and having her push me on it is a big help.

First of all, thanks everyone for the hugs and vibes, I think they are helping.
I did my meds this morning for the first time in a few days! I don't feel good at all..they make me cough so much (which is good haha), but hopefully I can get back on track and start feeling better again.

As far as insurance stuff, I think everything is getting better. Apparently, we're on new insurance now, so it hadn't taken effect yet? I have an appointment on Tuesday, so I'm pretty sure they will cover that.

And Jessie, I definitely get what you're saying about how it helps if somebody pushes/ reminds you to take your meds. My moms way of dealing with treatments is to just tell me to do them, and get mad at me if I don't. I've told her a million times that it would be easier for me if maybe she'd sit with me once in a while while I do them, instead of just going into the other room. I think that even though she's lived with it for 16 years, I don't think she knows really how to cope with it and would rather just not see the treatments at all.

I know what you mean, though... I've done nebulizer treatments when my asthma flares up since I was 2 years old. It made things much better and easier when my mom would sit through them with me. My dogs are my nebulizer buddies now... it's much easier to sit there petting the dogs while doing them because it gets my mind off of how shaky/jumpy the treatments make me feel.

Have you told your mom about how you feel? I can understand how difficult it must be for her to know/see that you're sick and need to do your treatments... but I bet if you told her how much it would mean to you to have her sit with you, she would. Especially if you told her that it would really help you to make sure you take your medicines and do your treatments... and I'm sure she wants to see you feeling better.
