Lol I will post pics as soon as I can.

Those who passed away.

Zeus- Zeus passed away from cancer. We found out too late and in a matter of weeks it just ate him up. We opted to put him down and get rid of his pain. This just happened in November :(.

Monty- my sweet prankster of a little boy :(. He was attacked and killed by a feral dog while on a camping trip. I will post this whole story eventually. But I really don't want to get into it right now. It is something that haunts me constantly. He had so much life ahead of him.

Pheonix- His death happened not long after I stopped posting here. And frankly I felt guilty and didn't want to come back and tell you this. But I think you all deserve to know. Pheonix never had a good recall and he was always strong. One day we had a vet appointment and I had in the rush of getting three of the dogs ready forgot to secure to Pheonix's crate. Because when ever I would open it he had a habit of bolting. So my kennel hand Sarah and I were getting the dogs out and I got to his crate. Opened it and before I could block him he bolted....Right out into the road......right in front of a truck. A truck I have to say that didn't stop even after it crushed my dog! There was far too much bleeding and trauma. He would never race again let alone walk right. And Pheonix was a 100% working dog who hated the off season. It would be cruel to keep him cooped up. So we put him to sleep. I know this was my fault I know :(. And no I didn't just put him down because he wasent any good as a racing dog. I put him down so he wouldn't be miserable. And it wasent a quick or easy decision.

Then there was Rajah :(. He like Pheonix got hit by a car. I wasent home so I don't know the whole story but the kennel hand in charge was fired. Some how the main gate to our property was left unlocked and open while my husband were out of town. The kennel hand also had the habit of leaving the dogs with out staying with them to supervise. I guess at one point Rajah vanished from the property. But the kennel hand didn't notice until evening time! They found Rajah 6 miles down the road busted open and dead. I am so angry because this all could have been prevented. This was AFTER Pheonix died and I was on top of everyone about keeping the dogs properly confined. So he was fired. And now one of my best dogs is dead.

I really feel like im a bad owner telling you all this. But like I said I think you all deserve to know.

I didn't know you (or don't remember and if that's the case sorry) but welcome back. I am sorry to hear of all your loses. So I take it you do dog sledding? I've always been interested in it. That's cool.
