Have you read anything by Ann Rule? She's a really good, notable true crime author. One of her well known stories is A Stranger Beside Me. And it's all very creepy. Years ago I read several of her books. Very engaging.

No, but I think, with everything that's happening right now, you might well enjoy The Name of the Wind and its sequel, The Wise Man's Fear. Patrick Rothfuss is the author.

Great story, wonderful characters, superb writing . . . and, as with any excellent fiction, you'll likely find parallels that speak to you -- especially the chapters leading up to and in Tarbean. ;)

Seconding Renee's pick. :) I have an extra paperback copy if you want me to send it up. It's totally surplus, because I went to a signing and ended up buying one so I could get a priority ticket. :rofl1:

I read Bringing Back Adam not too long ago. It was very good, and I'm generally not much of a true crime reader.
