I swear there was a thread on this several months ago, but darn if I can find it. I'm trying to put together a Christmas list, and I really want a new bag for agility. Other than dog-specific bags, which aren't really speaking to me, where does one look for moderately sized bags with tons of compartments and a good, wide opening? I know there must be certain things such bags are made for, but darn if I can find them.

Diaper bags can be perfect. A lot of them don't look like Mommy Bags either :p

That said, I prefer a backpack with lots of pockets and side traps. I can carry their emergency info, all my training gear, and a couple mats strapped to the sides all at once.

I think I fell in love with a diaper bag. Good lord, what is my life coming to?
I've used a diaper bag as my computer bag at work for years. I get so many compliments on it! I stuff a water bottle or an umbrella in each of the bottle pockets, and it's perfect.

Embrace the crazy. A dog bag is basically a diaper bag, right?

I just saw a back pack diaper bag the other day in WalMart. I think it was made by Fisher Price.

I use a Vera Bradley laptop bag, it has one main compartment separated into 2 and then maybe 10 smaller compartments. Plus the added bonus of being able to fit Lola when we're waiting around for a while.

Insulated pockets for treats. Anti-microbial interior. CRUMB DRAINS! What else could I need in life? This might be my Christmas present from my parents.

I will tell you, the only thing that made me go look at diaper bags was that I asked a friend "seriously, how stupid will I look with a diaper bag?" and she said "my work bag is a diaper bag and you've seen it and didn't mock me." I definitely didn't realize it was a diaper bag.

Just a heads up, a "bottle pocket" is just like a coozie inside the bag. It's not like a mini cooler in there or anything. I wouldn't expect to be able to put an ice pack and treats in there. (Not sure if that's a concern, just making sure)

And yeah, no one will know unless you pick a pattern that has baby teddy bears all over it or something!!

I was just thinking it might keep treats a little better than a regular bag over the course of a day, not even using an ice pack. I don't use a cooler or anything now, just start with stuff out of the fridge in the morning and assume they won't go too bad during the day.

Then yep, it would probably be a step up!

Yeah there is no way anyone will ever know that is supposed to be a diaper bag unless they happened to have shopped for it themselves haha

One of the Deal of the Day website I check several times a week has JuJu diaper bags every now and then. Next time I see them, I'll let everyone know.

I use a Wahl, grooming bag. Its designed to transport grooming gear so has lots of pockets down the sides, a good zip and a flat base and opens up wide and square like one of those old style doctors bags.

Plus it is in a paw print pattern.

This is it.

And it opens like this.

I used the Outward Hound bag like that for awhile. The downfall is that the bag itself is heavy because of the frame. Other than the weight, I loved it. Someone at run thrus has the training bag version of the Outward Hound bag. Same thing, just lighter weight. BTW- the tool bags someone mentioned earlier are also heavy.

I use a canvas tool bag currently. It has several pockets inside and out. I really like the fact that it has a rigid plastic bottom so that moisture from the ground doesn't seep into the bag and get my stuff wet. I paid like 20 bucks for it at Walmart. Canvas tackle boxes are also a consideration for my next bag, too.
