...but I'm kind of having a mini-coronary. Long story short, my 2nd heart dog (after Daisy) is a white pit bull I fostered from Feb - July of last year. Thought I'd found her a great home with a great couple and her very own 8 year old girl. However, when Guy kicked out Girl, he begged her to let him keep Abby (the pit). Thinking mostly of the child, Girl agreed. She has since moved away and really is in no position to take on a dog. I gave a big long adoption lecture, had been to their house quite a few times, met everyone involved, gave up a big binder of All Things Abby, and reiterated a trillion times not to trust her with other dogs (she had been in some bad dog fights with my friend's dog, in her first foster home). He ignored me because she was playing so well with the New Girl's puglets. Apparently she grabbed one and is now needing a new home. I managed her quite well here before (basically we just split the house - Abs lives upstairs, hounds live downstairs, and we crate and rotate to share couch/tv time. She's not unpredictably violent/doesn't tear apart crates or try to go through baby gates. She just can't be trusted to play nicely.) What this all comes down to is that in order to take her back in, I need a place for my current foster, Buster! If you or *anyone* you know is interested in a FANTASTIC dog please let me know! Foster or adoption! He is great with kids, other dogs, and I could see him getting on with cats. Ideally he'd go to someone who'd like to let him try out agility. He's active and "busy", but not destructive, hyperactive, or needy. He can play for hours with other dogs, but can also entertain himself on a dog bed with a bone if need be. Just to be clear, he's this guy:

sorry to pimp my foster dog - when it rains, it pours... our rescues had a crappy week as far as returns go, none of them the dogs' faults...

He's between 1 1/2 years and 2... we're pretty sure he was only around 8mos when he ended up at the shelter last Feb. He's probably only around 35lbs? No heavier than my basset and she's only about that.
