Okay since alot of dogs have come and gone since last time I was here I will fill you in. For those of you who don't know no im not a byb just a handful of my dogs are not Spayed or neutered the rest are rescues or just not breeding quality. All Huskies, Chins, and Malamutes are sled dogs and I have a LARGE once cattle farm with alot of acerage for kennels to be built on for them. They are well taken care of and pampered and between my husband and I and our newly hired hand (yup we finally hired help lol) they get plenty of attention and play time with us and love. But most are working dogs and don't live inside though some do. We so have our dogs that are strictly pets likes our pits and mutts. Our animals are fed a raw meat diet and exercised and groomed everyday. Their kennels are cleaned everyday and females welping are kept inside our home though we only have one to two litters a year MAYBE.

Grand total of 27 Perm

23 of which are working sled dogs or in training to be.

Yeah our number is large if it weren't for the pets it wouldn't be so bad but I can't turn any dog away thats my weakness lol.

I posted so pics of our place a long LONG time ago I will have to dig up the links or take new.

Its hard to explain exactly what an Alaskan Husky is. Some mushers will tell you its a true to the tone breed which I beleive in a sense. And some will tell you it is a Siberian Husky mixed with something else. I have seen 3rd and 4th generation Alaskan Huskies and i have seen people with Hound/Huskies which could be considered an Alaskan Husky. To put it easily the Alaskan Husky is the ultimate racing dog faster and more athletic then you average Siberian or Malamute because of all the different athletic breeds mixed in there. I will get some links for you they tend to word it better then I can.

To put in simply, Alaskans are bred for performance. My only true Alaskan has probably run over 10,000 miles in his 10 years, and is just now showing signs of arthritis. A true performance dog.
The hounds/Alaskans are usually called Eurohounds, Scandanavian Hounds, or simply- Hounds.
