We have had a very bad time with tics this year. We have been pulling plenty of normal sized tics off all summer long. The final straw was this AM when I found a number of super tiny ticks on Ditte's ears. They are SO small that I had to use some high powered magnification just to ID them. She has quite a few this time and does not like Mommy and Daddy picking and pulling her ears AT ALL .
I need a solution. We use Sentinel for heart worms and fleas but that stuff isn't good for ticks. Keep in mind these dogs are SMALL at 3 and 7 LBS. We probably need to treat the yard or the play area but with what??? Is there something we can put on the dogs that is safe that would repel the tics?
We never have had even one flea thank god but these ticks are making me crazy.
Any advice?
