THree cheers for Neccy being the best dog ever

I was in the shower. Neccy shoved her head in the door and bark bark bark alarm.

I run out and find front door wide open.
Neccy, Pepper and Victor are all in the garden. Neccy is still sounding the alarm and looking in one direction.

Keys Keys keys are are keys//omg Mom's dog.n nononononono
I find keys race n truck looking at tracks through the snow. Nothing nothing
not this way not that, circle back home. Start again, looking at tracks in snow even closer and praying that his feet are going to get cold, that he is not in the woods, and that he just might have gone exactly the way he did last time when he door dodged past Hyia. Voila. 5 dogs of mixed breeds and MR. SHaffer standing up on a high white hill with nice lady.


Grateful he was tagged. Grateful he had his collar on that relfects headlights, and most of all grateful to Neccy. I cannot lose Mr. SHaffer, and I can't let my Mom down. Dang. be still heart.

Mr. Shaffer needs to learn what my son learned, and what my dogs know. It's wrong to scare the mama.

Thanks to Neccy Mr. SHaffer was missing for all of ten minutes.

I have no idea on the door. It wasn't locked, it wasn't windy. It will be locked from now on as long as Shaffer is here. I go in and out so often, i just don't worry about it. 4 dogs that have to be taken basically one at a time out means that by the time your finished it's almost time to start again. Relieving himself while on a leash is frustrating to SHaffer who is use to being a dog with a fenced yard. He won't go like Pepper won't without walking around and it's just been so dang cold. I cant' stay out there that long. So we end up doing multiple trips.

I can't say enough good about Neccy, her old girl wisdom, her funny funny nature, and her tolerance to chair stealing cats. SHe is a dream dog. Thanks for letting me share he story.

A few weeks ago I couldn't find Zoey anywhere. She ALWAYS comes when I call. After a bit I started panicking, thinking somehow she had gotten outside. I finally had a brainstorm and asked Gracie "Where's Zoey, find Zoey" She took one look around, walked over and looked under the couch wagging her tail. Sure enough that's where she was the whole time. Never did figure out why she didn't come when I called her that time.
