I know I am not the only one with winter woes share them here :)

I have been stuck at home (I came back when it was that time of the month because it's too hard to deal with it when you have to walk back and forth to the bathroom fifty feet away at the end Of the barn) and I have been wanting to go back for two days now and I can't because it's been icy with highs below freezing for the past three days and generally cold for the past two weeks ENOUGH already winter!!! Waaaah the rodeo is in town and I want to go walk the grounds and maybe ride some rides but not when it's 40 degrees with a wind chill in the teens ... Boo :(

When they go on sale for spring I am going to get my horse a second, heavier blanket because all he has now is a small canvas one with no padding or anything and I feel bad for him.

It has rained every day since I can remember. Like rain rain, every day. Every. Single. Day.

The whole country is flooded. There are houses in the south west that have been under water since December.

Not sure whether to build an ark.

I am looking forward to next thursday! Highs in the 50s all next weekend!

I've had to drive through ice 4/5 work days this week. Blegh. my company apparently doesn't believe in delaying starts and the city apparently doesn't believe in snow-plowing main exits to the city. Highways are clear. Downtown yesterday was atrocious. I slid sideways down 6th street!

Today is something like 11F outside and I forgot my jacket. Go me. And of course the girl at work we were taking out to lunch chose someplace where we had to walk outside. So me in heels through ice with short sleeves in 11F. Yep I'm smart.

Me and the dogs are getting stir-crazy a bit.

On Wednesday we got a foot of snow, on top of 2" that was already down. I think this is the most snow I've seen in this area. All of our walks are done on our property and an unplowed trail, so I'm dreading going out there. I went for one walk on Wednesday and didn't make it 1/2 mile out before I was tired of pushing through over a foot of snow. Going to try again today and hopefully some ATVs or skiers have made trails.

I really don't mind winter if the snow stays at a reasonable amount (like no more than 6" at a time) and the temps stay around freezing or above, but this winter has been so cold and I'm sick of it. I know most of the country is in the same boat.

I walk to work. My toes usually get pretty frozen half way through. One night I forgot my gloves, and holy crap I thought I was gonna lose my fingers.

Also, shoveling. I hate shoveling. And I hate people who don't shovel their sidewalks. Or people who don't take care of the ice... seriously not fun when I'm walking home in the dark and I forgot my flashlight.

OMG REALLY winter ... REALLY??? This is the third week in a row we have had half a week where it rains and doesn't get out of the 30's with wind chills in the SINGLE DIGITS :wall:

I just. Want. A. ****ing. WEEK with NORMAL temperatures for a change and ENOUGH WITH THE RAIN already!!! Rain rain go away! Come back in spring when it's warm!

This has been the hardest winter we have had in years and us southerns don't like to be cold!!! What makes it worse is we will have like, three or so days of 30's / 20's then it will jump back up to the 70's / 40's like ... The next day, then the vicious cycle continues. It makes it hard on everyone, ESP the horses and other animals :(, I had to almost double the dog's rations because the winter weather roller coaster was zapping their weight :(.

I just bought a little canvas blanket with no filling and a fleece lining becsuse I didn't think he would need anything else ... Now I wish I had spent the $100 or so for a better, heavier blanket. :( I might pick one up on sale this spring for next winter in case it's another bad one

Well it's been consistently subzero with windchill, we have tons of snow on the ground and keep getting more, my dogs are bored out of their minds and so am I. I've made so many drives home from work in dangerous conditions that it's actually kind of boring now. My windshield wiper fluid won't dispense once it's below freezing which as I mentioned is ALWAYS AND FOREVER. Sometimes I have to stop at gas stations and wipe my windshield down so I can see and not die.

Seriously, I'm a midwestern girl, we suck it up and get it through it, but this winter has been brutal. Stick a fork in me, I'M DONE.

Thank you for the opportunity to vent, LOL.

I am so done with winter.

The pipes froze out to the horse water so I've been having to haul all the water for the horses and chickens. Our main stove/heater isn't working, so I only have the wood cook stove to heat the house right now and it is not enough, it's soooo cold in here! Plus we're nearly out of firewood AGAIN and the chain broke on the chainsaw, and and and...WHERE'S SPRING?
