I love my husband a lot and this is such a petty rant - but I wish he would share in getting up at 6:30 with the dog more often. Yes, most days it makes sense for me to get up because I work earlier than him, and he gets up at 8 or 9 most days. I get that and I respect that. No sense in both of us being up when just one of us needs to. I get 2, sometimes 1 day, where I have the opportunity to sleep in past 6:30. I have what feels like permanent dark circles under my eyes. I never make it to bed when I want to (either he is working late and dinner is late, or I try to go to bed and he comes in later and wakes me on accident). So most nights I get about 6 or 7 hours of sleep. I am more of an 8 or 9 hour sleep person. And it is starting to get to me.

Once Addie is up, she is up and makes a racket. No, she doesn't settle if put back in her crate. I am the same way. The second I see the sun, or a light, I am up. It comes from my Dad who, bless his heart, totally hated us kids sleeping in and "wasting" a morning. So even on my weekend day when she gets up at 6:30 I am up. I do get that one day he is off so he should get the chance to sleep in...but the other day? It should be my turn. All I am asking for is just one day a week to sleep past 6:30. Addie goes to him first one day a week (I am SURE she does it on purpose not to wake me. Has happened more than once to not be a fluke). He ignores her or is sound asleep. Tells me to wake him up. Why. I am already awake. Ugh. I am sure this makes no sense because I am tired.

My laptop is pretty much broken right now. I finally shoved the charger into the port, and duct taped it as it was the only way to get it to charge. Now I'm all paranoid since it get so warm it's going to start on fire. BUT, I must edit 10,000 pictures I haven't gone through before I can say goodbye and get a new one. :rofl1:

Lincoln screamed like a banshee when he was a puppy ... for 2 weeks, it was the worst 2 weeks of our lives LOL and not just screaming, banging around in the crate, digging and throwing himself against the door along with screaming.

Man I really wish I or my parents had known about 4-H when I was a kid. I've really been big on the idea of agriculture and raising up my own animals and having a hobby farm to partway or hopefully totally live off of. 4-H would really have given me that boost and confident and know-how.

Then when it came time to pick a high school they wouldn't let me choose the one agricultural one in the whole city (this place has its own farm, cows, goats, chickens, horses, donkeys, teaches you how to grow crops, raise animals, make cheeses and other foods). They sent me to a college prep high school which really did not make very happy years...and college turned out not to be for me anyway so that was kinda moot.

Anyways I keep looking for programs I could get into but I couldn't even be a farm hand since the only ones around are way out of county, I'm in the city, and all the programs are for younger kids. Boo.

FOUR HOURS waiting at the ER. FOUR. And still 3 people ahead of me. Walked out and went to a new hospital. Rediculous.

In depression
Stress levels are going to send me into a mental break. No joke.

Need a new car, need a new chicken coop, need a second job or something else in life has to give before my brain does.

FLEAS. It seems like I am constantly vacuuming up flea powders, going around the baseboards, spraying down all the furniture and mattresses, doing insane amounts of laundry and have flea bombed more times than I can count. I even have a flea collar inside my vaccum! All of that extends to the car as well. The cats are on Comfortis and so is J-Roc and I still can pick two fleas off of me at least once a day. I've tried everything short of calling in a professional and i'm trying to avoid that because my apartment complex charges $550 to have them come in and spray.

We had a talk yesterday and my DH told me something that really upset me. We talked more later on and he partially changed his mind. I don't really know how to feel right now. We have been jokingly bringing up this subject since forever, and I felt like I lost something. I thought we were on the same page with this stuff. I just want to have a good cry. Worst part is I don't have anyone else to really talk about this with. I don't want to bring it up again with him because he has every right to feel the way he does. So mostly anonymity on the internet ftw.

Yuck, last sunday I totaled my truck (blew a tire and jumped the median, went across 3 oncoming lanes of traffic and came to rest on the opposite embankment after hitting the control box to the signal light) and dealing with the insurance company and the finance company and trying to get the necessary paperwork sent to me so I can sign the truck over to the salvage yard so I can get my check has been a challenge. I hope it will be over soon :(, having only one car (that has a good bit of mileage and years on it) is tough.

I'm really tired of being repeatedly blown off by rescues, breeders, and dog sports trainers. I may just have the worst luck in the world, but I'm going to blame it on the fact that I don't ALREADY have titles and trialing experience with my current dogs. But we all need to start somewhere. I've started Lancer in herding and Rara's completed a 10 week course of Agility, but that's it for us. Where and how do I start/continue more in-depth into dog sports, rescues, titling, ETC if they won't let me IN (particularly rescues/foster homes in the past though... just a few breeders and a few trainers). That said, I'm not looking to adopt until I can move out of this flipping apartment... but recalling the times I've been blown off by rescues a few months back, too many times to count on my fingers. I'd have to use my teeth. And then the one time that the rescue DIDN'T blow me off, Signal was perfect in every way that I was hoping for in a sports dog, except for being unable to handle an apartment and high-traffic.

I'm itching to get started in nosework with Lancer- I sent the K9 Nosework trainers in my area an email yesterday afternoon with questions and interest in starting NW, with some info on Lancer's fear-reactivity. One day is no wait at all, but after getting blown off so many times in the past (for whoever remembers a few months back), I'm already getting the dreaded feeling after 24 hours and wouldn't be surprised if I'm being ignored again.

It's a dog cliquey world out there. But I'm also 100% sure that I have terrible luck in every way possible. I'm starting to believe in pure bad luck. Or do people look at the name "Fiona" and think, "Ah yeah, I'm not responding to this email." LOL

Being blown off or even the SENSE of being blown off in dog-related situations just easily snaps something in me now.

I would just work with my current dogs and prove them wrong!
