A flock of attack birds seems like a nice idea, until they try to attack you every time you step out of the house.

And it is seriously freaking me out. I don't wanna call animal control, but I think I might have to. Jeez. They've lost their bloody minds.

Actually, I don't think I can call animal control because it looks like they only deal with pigeons, not swallows.

My coworker, who had only recently turned 16, was killed in a car crash late last night. I'm just in such shock because I worked with her yesterday. She was so hilarious and laid back... she will be incredibly missed at the pool because she made the atmosphere so much more fun and upbeat. I just cannot imagine what her family and close friends are going through... as she was in a very tight knit family.

My 15 year old daughter has had muscle spasms for a little over two weeks. It manifests itself as a sort of "hiccup". It's irritating to her as well as painful. I've had her to the hospital and we have a follow up scheduled with her pediatrician.

She's already self-conscious enough being a teenage girl. Add this to it and everyone looks at her funny everywhere we go. Sometimes they try to be helpful with "hiccup cures". They are usually not mean, though.

This evening, she was with me at the grocery store. While checking out, a "man" in line in front of us started making the same noise almost in time with hers. I looked at him in the eye and he looked away and then walked away, but continued doing it. I called him out on it telling him, "You're mocking a 15 year old girl with a medical condition". The neanderthal in me wanted to throttle him, but a felony assault conviction doesn't look great on the resume. The checkout ladies shamed him while his lady tried to defend him. Complete jerk.

Some day, we'll figure out what's wrong and get it under control. He'll still be an asshole who makes fun of people's disabilities.

What is wrong with people :( I have to wonder what is so sad in their lives as to get pleasure from mocking of others. I hope your daughter's condition is remedied soon. That sounds very uncomfortable :(

Thanks. When in the hospital, she got it to stop but it was with IV anticonvulsant medication. It stopped it by knocking her out. So short of keeping her in a coma for the time being, we're open to most any suggestions these guys can offer ;)

And in the other guy's "defense", he didn't appear to be sober, but that often just enhances the personality within.

sorry, I didn't see this before when I was caught up in my own vent. I'm really sorry that your friend was killed. And so young too. Absolutely devastating for that family I'm sure. :(

Ugh. I have a cold! I wish I was in bed. Being hot and cold, with a runny yet somehow stuffy nose and burning eyes that are constantly tearing is NOT how I planned to feel today. And, to top it all off, now I am getting a sore throat. Had it not been the day after a holiday weekend, I would have called out.

Kind of glad I didn't. The other person who works today called out and there would have been no one on my team had I also called out :-/ but man. Adulting stinks.

can someone please ****ing explain to me why when you go UP a cup size in bras, the cups get SMALLER. i usually wear a 36DD and i have a small amount of spillage on one side, nothing crazy. so i buy the same brand and style in a 36 DDD and the spillage is worse and its on both sides now AND THE CUPS HAVE LESS FABRIC. come ON people, what the hell? :rofl1:

Same brand/style? I have seen huuuuge differences between brands and even between styles of the same brand. Going up a *band* size would indeed mean the cups are different than the same cup in a smaller band size, but not just going up a cup size.

(and yet another reason I shop at the local independent place that can find me a perfect fit every time)

yeah the band is the same, and the cup is the next size up, except its actually a size down as far as i can tell. so frustrating, because this is literally the only bra i can find thats got my two requirements: big enough, and racerback/front clasp. nobody makes these, so i buy them from ebay from a seller in china and theyre like $10 ea and i deal with it being slightly too small still :(

I found racerback front clip bras at TARGET a few weeks back - might be worth checking if you have one nearby (or online).

yeah i look at all the big box stores all the time. macys and lane bryant and suchlike too. their sizes typically stop at C or D. great if youre a tiny little thing, bad for big honking bazookas :rofl1:

its been an ongoing issue my entire adult life, so believe me iv explored all the various options. ebay is the closest iv gotten, but then people like to discontinue their racerback styles every other year. im looking at you victorias secret.

I'm a 32DD usually, but I'm a 34DD/34DDD depending on brand/style currently because of pregnancy - believe me, I know the pain of bra shopping. They never have anything above a C in my bands. That being said, I HAVE found some DDs and even a few DDDs at Target recently. ;)

About a month ago we found out my aunt (dad's sister), has cancer. Because she didn't book a follow up with a doctor a year ago when there were abnormal cells found.
They blame the doctor for not making it seem urgent enough.

Yesterday I found out that my Grandad (dad's dad), whom I used to be very close with, has had his cancer come back and the doctor says there's no point in trying to medicate it or do chemo or anything. Gave him 2 years, less if it spreads to the bone.

And with every day I feel like my relationship with Josh is slipping further and further away.

Oh and my dad is convinced that my car, my first car that I'm very comfortable with and attached to, is not safe to drive anymore so I had to buy a new-used one. While I'm excited for it, and I found one within my budget it's just another change that I'm not ready for.

Adulting sucks. I want to go back to when things were easy and no one was sick.

Wow I'm really sorry. I feel like I can relate to a lot of what you're going through. Cancer sucks, my mom didn't quite make it a year after she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, she was the healthiest person I have ever met. It's really unfair.. They need to find a cure, it always seems to affect the best people..

I also have been really questioning my relationship of 4 years with some of our recent conversations. So I am pretty much on the point that I am pretty sure we will be breaking up within a year. Which sucks because we are just about to move into a really nice townhome to rent, which is a 1 year lease. I have voiced my concerns numerous times in our relationship and nothing seems to change much or it doesn't for very long. It's hard because even though I feel this way, I still think he is a great guy and I love him.

I will likely be looking for a much smaller, less nice of a home in 2 years..

((((Hugs))))

Three friggin weeks for the first available appointment?

I did manage to call around and found another doctor who will take my daughter next week. Glad she's not dying.

B'Tempted by Wacoal makes your size. Macy's and Dillards often carry them. Also, there's herroom.com which has a ton of sizes/styles!

ever go to the doctor and have things NOT all screwed up? I need a physical for my new work insurance. called and couldn't get in with my regular doctor... It's just a physical, I'll see any GP, no big. Got there today and they were like "oh so you're here as a new patient to switch primaries?" Uhhh no? I want to keep my regular doctor. The RN had to fix everything in the system because they got it all screwed up, but he was super nice about the whole thing and good humored so whatever.
Doctor comes in and says "so your regular doctor has referred you for liver problems?"
Whaaaaaat???

Good God.
