Dear person(s) who just have to play their ****ing car radios so loud that I can hear it in my BEDROOM, especially at night:

STOP!!! I move out here for a REASON so I don't have to hear that! I hope all your speakers blow! :wall:
This. I hate when people do this. It's just... Obnoxious.

Two out of three of the nieces/nephews have croup.

Now I do as well, but adults don't get croup, it's just a viral respiratory illness (aka CROUP! lol) per the urgent care dr. Ohh... and I should probably get tested to see if I has asthma at some point.

And did I mention I've got conjunctivitis in both eyes as well... Someone please kill me.

Ick sorry about the croup and conjunctivitis :(
I'd be packing it in and hiding in my bedroom for a few days with hot lemon tea and eye antibiotics.

Croup is a series of symptoms that can be caused by a number of viruses (influenza, rhinovirus, adenovirus, just to name a few). So while you probably caught the illness from the kids, they wouldn't call it "croup" because as an adult, your airway should be wide enough now to accommodate for the swelling which would lessen the severity and symptoms. There are cases of adults with croup, but it's pretty rare.

House prices seem so ridiculous in some parts of the country. I have just been looking around comparing what the average salary and average house price is in certain cities. If the average salary is 50k and the average house is 300k, how in the world do people afford houses? And in some places it's worse...New York- household income is 50k, houses cost 500k.

Here, lots of mortgages are offered with small down payments nowadays - means your monthlies are higher of course, but it makes home ownership affordable especially if you're a two-person household.

I cannot play Call of Duty. So sad.

We got a new modem for the internet. I can play other games online...the internet is fine/better than it was...I can watch Netflix on the xbox... I cannot play multiplayer on COD. I can get through about 3/4 of a game, and then it lags up and kicks me out of the game. There is slight lagging when I am able to play.

Help me :(. I've been reading forums but I don't understand a lot of the technical stuff.

Mortgage forever. That's how.

California has a 50 year mortgage now.

Sounds like hell to me but I could just barely do the 20, couldn't qualify at all for the 15, and my lender recommended the 30. I intended to pay more so I could be done faster but, yeah, that hasn't been happening. I'll finish paying off my house when I'm 58. Awesome.

I should have said household income vs salary. A lot of the places have 50-60k average household income and then 400-500k average house prices. It's crazy to me!

I had no idea you could do a 50 year mortgage. Also crazy.

ME TOO.

And my realtor keeps saying 'Well, in a few years when you want to upgrade'.

Err yeah no. The only way I'm moving is if I get a job somewhere else or get married and even then I'd probably want to keep my house.... Or maybe at retirement. I'd love to be like my aunt and uncle- they've completely paid off their house they got when they first started out and have no house payments.

Right??? When I bought this house I wasn't looking for a "starter house." I do know if I get married, there is no way I will stay there. It's too tiny for two people to live in (one teeeeny tiny bathroom... no way!) But the only way I will be moving out is if I get a job with a major salary upgrade that makes it possible to move out into the country, or if I get married, which means more money to buy something bigger and nicer anyway with two salaries.
Luckily the realtor I ended up going with understood that. The first one was always like "well you know you'll probably only be here for five years..." Uhhhh?? No no no. No. Just no. I'm buying. Not renting. This is serious, lady.

My dad paid cash for my parent's first house, but that was back when it cost $20k for a house, LOL. The house they are in now was something like $48k and it's a big, very nice house. Times were waaaay different then. It was really hard for my dad to go looking at houses with me because he seemed to still be in that mindset and was like "this house is HOW much?" =P

I make myself cry looking at how much house prices have skyrocketed. I did go look up average salaries back then and it made me feel slightly better. Slightly.

Even looking at house prices in the 90s makes me want to cry though.

My house is MORE than enough for me. It is only 200 sq ft smaller than the house I grew up in with 4-5 people living in (the younger two did share a bedroom). I think I'll survive. But he is very much into all the fancy upgrades and yada yada. I just have zero desire for a big house ever.

I could see myself moving out to a small country house maybe 10-15 years down the line.

A sophomore in my school took her life last night:(

Even though, I never really knew her, I'm still effected by it.So are so many other people, even people like me, who didn't know her.So many people are being sympathetic, caring, & aren't being judgmental, which is wonderful.

Thankfully, no one has said anything bout it being a "selfish" thing to do. Which is wonderful.

And, now I am starting to feel guilty. What if I got to know her? Or followed her on Instagram, or on Facebook? That one thing could of possible prevent her suicide.

I don't get it... I didn't even know her well, & I feel guilty... Yeah, It's understand to feel sad about her passing.

I'm really effect by her death, maybe it's because I can relate to her, but, I don't think that is the reason.

Abrams is apparently food aggressive. He was eating his dinner and I scooted his bowl to the correct spot with my foot and I got growled at. Dumb ass dog. Guess we'll be doing a lot of food-eating exercises.

At least he's not treat/bone/toy possessive?

Are you sure he didn't think it was one of the other pets?

He *may* have, but I doubt it. I didn't seek up on him or anything, he saw me walking towards him. I can put my hand in his bowl, take his bowl away, touch him, etc., when he eats and if I tell him to get back from the dish he does, but apparently scooting the dish is a no-go and I get growled at?

Regardless, it's not acceptable purely for instances like today where I just want to scoot his dish out of the middle of the walk path. Guess we'll be going to the basics of "human approaches dish, human moves dish, tasty treats rain from the sky" type things.

He has gone after Histamine before if she approaches him while he's eating. :/ Don't know how to put a stop to that. He doesn't care about Cynder because he knows she won't try to eat his food, but Histamine is an idiot and tries to stick her face into his bowl, so he'll snap at her if she's near him while he eats.

I'm just a bit boggled that he's defensive over his food dish, but he can chew on a bone or stuffed Kong and we can take it away and animals can be practically on top of him and he doesn't care. Guess that's a good thing, though, and I won't question it.
