Im so frustrated with people and more than them, with myself.

Backstory: I recently applied and interviewed for a higher position in the company and while I didnt get it, my review was very promising and I was told the only reason I didnt get it was my relative newness to the company (<1 year). Since then I have been trying really hard to take on more responsibility and learn the system to eventually take on that role. And part of it is having a team under me. Right now my Dept manager has openly declared me her right hand/second in command, and that any direction or suggestion from me should be considered to be coming from her. My fellows in this dept dont see it that way, and I end up doing everything myself while they goof off and take 10 smoke breaks a day and 2 hour lunches and do nothing. I feel so crippled because I need them to do their jobs so I can do mine, instead Im just running around cleaning up others peoples messes so that they can stand around and chitchat. How are you gonna stand 10 feet from a chemical spill and not do anything. ARGH

He can learn to do it. They can send home health care for a while. Just go. Do not loose your job over his manipulation, go ask for it back, go apply at another store. Don't let him take you down.

"That baby should be coming out any time now right?" No, I have 5 more weeks.
"Not much room left in there..." No, really? I didn't notice that I can hardly breathe because the child is taking up all of my extra space!
"Look how swollen your feet are!" Ummm, actually, this is just what my feet look like. Thank you for making me feel like a fatty.
Looking at a pic of me sitting on the ground. "How in the world did you get back up, someone must've had to help you!" Actually, I'm pretty mobile and even went to flyball training last weekend and ran two dogs. So, thanks.

We didn't find out the gender, so we have 2 girl names and a boy name picked out. Of course I don't mind you asking! I'm driving my mother bonkers since we aren't sharing the names hehehehe

The look! I have the look perfected for those odd people that think that I want to be touched by strangers. Yes stranger, please rub my belly. It's SO WEIRD. Especially since I'm pretty no-touch to begin with LOL I need to just haul one of the boys with me everywhere, they deter touching. Oddly the Corgi does not

We got maternity photos done a few weeks ago and she made me look and feel so pretty. I'm so glad! This week I feel like...not so pretty haha

I keep telling DH it could be any day! A month early is early! Ahhh we need to get some things wrapped up on our to-do list. So much freaking out and nerves! lol

Just make sure to take care of yourself. I don't know what taking care of yourself means for you right now but try to think about it with a clear head.

Dude who you were in a committed relationship tries to kill himself because you ended it and that's both scary and stressful as hell. I understand feeling bad and feeling like you owe it to him to now be his caretaker. However, that doesn't make it right or healthy for you to do. Try thinking about why you're still there: is it guilt? do you feel obligated? or do you want to be there because you love him and intend to be there for everything he goes through for the rest of his life?

I don't feel like I owe it to him, actually. He has shown such a positive attitude since he regained consciousness at the hospital, I'm actually proud of him. I wish he hadn't shot himself, I wish he'd have come by the attitude change without the bullet through his face, but I'm glad that he's looking forward to a future for himself.

I don't feel uncomfortable providing care for him.

I kind of think the fact that people around you are aghast about it is the answer, unless you're friends with a lot of people who are just total assholes and don't generally care about you. I'm not saying you're dense. But if you don't feel distress, that is kind of worrying and leads me to thinking you're still numb about the whole thing, which is... not good.

Maybe it's saying too much but honestly the whole situation just scares me. And I hope the next thing he puts a bullet through isn't you.

Yep. And I think I remember he wouldn't talk to you at first?

I work psych and see this manipulation all the time. Could you at least call and get counseling? County mental health center should get you in. If you call a hotline and explain situation they may be able to get you to the top of the list.

How are you going to survive not working?

Why can he not care for himself while your at work? They would have short stayed him at a nursing home if he really could not feed himself.

I just feel his manipulative attempt worked and things may be in another honeymoon phase now but it won't last. I worry about you.

It's totally understandable. I'm just glad they're being nice, and not purposely intending to be mean.

And, having the gender unknown until birth seems even more exciting.

People are so weird at RSVPing! If you have an enormous family and I send an invite can you be a little more specific than "we're coming"?? Does that mean you and your husband or you both along with the adult child and her partner that live with you?? Does it mean you and your husband and your six kids or are half of them going to be with their dad that weekend so only 3 are coming??? or they say "I'll be there" and bring the whole family.

God bless the two people who took the time to text "myself, my husband, and our son will be there"

I spent 5 HOURS trying to print and scan 3 pages. 5 HOURS.
It involved 1 trip to the bank, 2 trips to Target, 1 trip to my aunt's house, lots of cursing and wasted money buying ink cartridges that weren't fixing the situation.

I needed to get my most recent bank statements sent to my mortgage person. They asked for them yesterday, so I wanted to get it done asap so that we're not wasting time. By the time I finally got it all done and sent off, I got an automated email response that they're no longer in the office today. So they won't get it till tomorrow. So I could've just done it when I got to work tomorrow and saved myself the headache. And a total waste of my day.

Stupid printer, prints every color except black! That's the only color I need! So bogus.

When people are nagging the crap out of you and going ON AND ON AND ON and expecting you to do 2000 different, physically tasking things instantaneously, and you have run out of spoons.

Dude, if I say it will get done, it will get done. There is no need to guilt trip me, saying things like how you've got to do it now because I've been busy doing other stuff that you asked me to do.

This is why I am being short with you. I'm sorry. I've got a list of things to do, I'm going to do them in the most sensible order, and I will not be doing them instantly at the same time because that is not humanly possible. So please stop taking your stressed induced anger out on people. I am out of spoons. I need room to breathe. You breathing down my neck is not what is getting anything done. Nor is you starting fights with me, when I could be doing something else. Yell at me all you want, but don't get mad at me when I walk away to do things you want me to do. Seriously.

Does it help me to get an in-dept description of the weed-pulling basket you have? No. Tell me the location and that's good. Don't tell me about the basket's hopes and dreams.

I will be so happy when this graduation party is over. Never again. I hate it when we host parties.

Also, I have no idea why we have ants. It's probably because people suck at putting things away or just plain properly storing them. Last I checked, that's why we have things to store food in, and I have no idea why anyone can't grasp this concept. Blame me all you want, but it's actually not my fault. I don't want ants, I'm doing what I can to prevent them. Everyone else? Not so much.

Hugo is ideal is so many ways but I'm just SO over his bunny obsession. My loose leash walking sweet heart has turned into a psycho. This forty pound dog is going to rip my arm out of socket and break his own legs. I have no idea how to handle it. If we are out in the neighborhood after 6pm he freaks. I have no idea how I'm going to do this for the rest of the summer. We just tried to go out on a jog and he spent the entire time flinging himself to the end of the leash. The rabbits have come out so suddenly and I have no idea what to do.

Best thing in the world for me with Abrams and his squirrel love-hate was generalized impulse control. With everything. All day. Every day. Impulse control, impulse control, impulse control. I basically did NILIF with impulse control as my requirement and now it is his default to pause and wait (+/- eye contact) before released whenever he wants something. It has been a long road, but I am SO happy with where he is at right now in that regard.

Also, maybe a prong/head halter/control harness to help control him while you're working on it? That way you're not getting yanked around and he's not able to move towards the rabbits.
