The Venting Thread

I'm pretty sure my therapist is the reason "go **** yourself" became my favorite phrase.
 
Loosing a pet is hard. What makes it even harder is when that dog is your husbands special friend and watching your husband try so hard to hold it together. :(
 
The old therapist I had I just clicked with right away, I could basically tell anything. With the one I have now, I am scared to tell her most things. Things I should probably tell her,but I just don't want to tell her. It isn't that she judges,because she doesn't. But, I don't know I just don't "click" with her.

Having a canker sore the size of a dime sucks. Also, the general sicky feeling that comes with it sucks... And the fact that nobody knows the difference between canker and cold sores and so people think I have an std, when I explain to them why I'm not eating.

A canker sore is caused (in my case) by having both b12 and iron deficiency (I've always been iron deficient, the b12 thing started last year) anemia, as well as eating a lot of acidic foods. Usually, this happens to me when I get a cut on my gums (like this time, a bit of popcorn sliced me), and then the acid just makes it worse and I end up with a canker sore.

This is just a chronic thing for me, but lately they've been getting bigger. Luckily, my mom is a dental hygienist, so I got some medication for it :)

But seriously. People. Learn what is and is not an std, otherwise you're just annoying when I have to explain this to you a thousand times. Canker sore is an ulcer. Cold sore is a puss-filled blister. The ulcer is inside your mouth and not contagious. The blister is contagious and is only on the outside. And no, a canker sore is not "acid herpes" or whatever the muffin that is.

I've been getting nasty canker sores quite often as of late, and I really want to start referring to them as acid herpes. That's amazing. LOL

Housesitting 2 JRTS.
I don't even normally do terriers... but especially these terriers. Owned by a family who thought "Hmm.. our one out of control jack is crazy and the trainer says he needs mental stimulation, LETS GET ANOTHER!"
My friend was supposed to take them in but her kid got sick.

I've been here for 8 hours and I'm already losing it. They don't LISTEN, just beyond stubborn and ughhh the barking everytime a neighbor even moves

I'd never even tried drugs at the time. Not even pot. :rofl1: He was absolutely convinced that I was a heroin addict without actually drug testing me for it. My point was that that's the only completely shitty one I've ever dealt with - the rest have been varying degrees of okay to AWESOME with a side of sparkles.

It's big and scary to talk to someone about your problems, but it's 100% confidential with a therapist and they know how to open you up and offer behavioral solutions that can help.

I wish i had someplace to go for a while and talk to someone about this. I just don't know what to do anymore. I wish someone could tell me the right answer. I just don't know anymore. :(

In fairness, cold sores aren't STIs either. They are caused by herpes simplex virus but there is a type 1& 2.. As someone who has suffered from cold sores since I was two, mine were lovingly given to me by my mom& I get then under my eye as well as along spots on my lip. I take a pill daily to prevent them.

It is sort of a tough subject because mine are so bad& before daily medication, I had some bad experiences with being told I have face herpes or an STI on my face. One hair dresser told me I should have canceled my appointment and come back when my face was regular because 'herpes is gross'. I kid you not. Whereas people wouldn't even know you had cankers if you didn't tell them!& I'm shocked people don't know what they are?

It's supposed to be 80 today (YAY!!!!), so naturally I came to work dressed for an 80 degree day.

It is absolutely freezing in my office. :( I'm about to have to go run to my car to get my jacket!

But yay for 80 degrees!
 
I have been trying to help rehome a bulldog mix. My friend rescued her from the shelter after she had babies. (My friend couldn't keep her but wasn't willing to let her die,there was 0 interest)
She has been rehomed and returned TWICE. The first family said she chased the horses and the 2nd said she was too hyper.
A couple interested in her just messaged me their #. Asked me if she was full blooded or part pitbull. THEN asked if she could still have babies because they would "love to have some babies as pretty as her"
I promptly messaged them back that she is to be a family member NOT a moneymaker. And more puppies is certainly not what we want from her because there are tons of puppies noone wants already at our highkill shelter.

FIRST WORLD PROBLEM OF THE DAY

A lifetime of having a cleaning lady come once a week has created a person who is very good at "maintenance cleaning" (clorox wipe, swiffer, sweep, make the bed) but who will put off doing laundry, changing/washing her sheets, properly dusting, vacuuming etc... UNTIL IT IS VERY NECESSARY and even then I'm not frikin good at it! HOW DID THEY USED TO GET THE PLACE TO CLEAN??

Note to self: THE DAYS OF CLEANING PEOPLE ARE OVER YOU ARE THE CLEANING PERSON

(*also should be noted that I lived in Miami and my parents are Haitian so having a cleaning lady is like having running water)
 
Ugh, I feel like such a failure, especially since people had such high hopes for me. My closest friend in middle school is doing pre-med, she's gone and done charity work around the world, and I looked at the FB page of another middle school friend. She is going to Yale.
And what do I do? Nothing. I never even finished high school. This disability has prevented me from doing almost everything that has been important to me. I am so frigging tired of this crap. I just want to scream. **** this.
