The Poodle Pop-in

I don't have much time these days to spend on the forum. But here and there, like to pop in. Hope that's not too annoying. So here I am with some recent photos of my two fairly recent toy Poodles, Maurice and Matisse. They're now about 2.5 years old and have turned into such nice adults...just darling temperaments and so nicely behaved...just happy, playful little dumplings.



Wee Maurice...(4 lbs)



He has some silver markings on him which almost made him what's called a phantom. But they're very faint.



Where are yoooooooo mom?! You can barely see him, but Jose` is down in front of the door.

Matisse at about 6 lbs:



This was back in spring...practicing their threshold training. They stay put when the door is opened, even if I walk way out.



"Maurice! Matisse! Come!" They've got a good recall and they come promptly and fast...so cute.

Thank you Amberdyan for such a nice reply. They are so exuberant that they really run fast. They're a lot of dog in such a small package though. They have kept me very, very busy since they were babies.

Annabelle...Many years ago, a Poodle would have been the last breed on earth I'd ever think of myself as owning. I was totally into big dogs and not "foo foo" types. I have since come to realize they are not foo foo, no matter how I fix their hair. lol. They're a wonderful breed. And so extremely intelligent. They catch onto new things so fast it makes my head spin. Of course, that's not always a good thing. They think far too much and that can cause some stumbling for me when training. You have to be very specific in what you ask of them or they'll create nuances you never thought existed. Anyhow, they're a kick and so sensitive, intuitive and into their people. I'm just loving them. Thank you so much for such a nice comment. They are adorable, aren't they.

Big Poodleperson...yes, I do remember. You were right there and someone I looked and still look up to when it comes to Poodles. In part, you and your photos influenced me into looking into Poodles more before making my decision. I just went with teensy for various reasons. But they're all Poodles and all wonderful. Yes, they did turn out nicely. It was a lot of extra work having two the same age (don't recommend it. lol) but that heavier work load passed as they came out of puppy hood and my dedication to fostering their individuality and separate times for each with me paid off.
