Kona can dance, talk, and take a bow.

Right now she is trying to entice me to pla with her by nibbling my feet.

Do you do any sports with your dog?

Chance. I was thinking about getting a dog in the near future, and then I went to Petsmart to fish food when the rescue was there. Her color was what lured me over, but it was her temperment that won me over. She was so well mannered when I walked her! So, I was left thinking "Heh, what's a girl like you doing in a place like this?" and she came home with me a few days later.

Asleep at home, probably my fiance just crated her to go to work.

What kind of training collar, if any, do you use?

Are martingales considered training collars?

Playing with her rope-tire thingy.

What sort of toys do your dog(s) like?

Flicka likes everything and anything - squeakies (plastic and cloth), ropes, stuffed animals, tennis balls, you name it. Pepe's a bit more picky - he likes his soft squeakies and his tennis balls.

Flicka's taking a nap on the chair. Pepe's gnawing on a Nylabone at my feet. The fosters are having chew-bone time in their crates. Lillian's prancing around the house, taking advantage of the dog-free time.

What is one breed you'd never own, and why?

Chihuahuas . . . I don't know why, but they creep me out

I hope sleeping in her crate, waiting for me to come home, which I will be leaving work to do shortly

What breed will you be unable to rest peacefully in your grave unless you've owned?

A golden retriever. They are so friendly, beautiful, and playful.

Zoe is by my side as usual, chasing a bug on the window.

If you were a dog, which breed would you be?

I'd be a JRT, because their bouncy, excited, hyperness (is that a word?) fits me perfectly!

Kona is sitting here, looking out the window (she knows dad comes home when it gets dark)

What sort of treats do you feed your dog?

^ - Red Barn soft food rolls, Old Mother Hubbard biscuits & dried liver.

> - Fozzie & Gonzo are laying within 3 feet of me, in my living room, working on their yogurt-filled frozen Kongs.

v - How much time per day, on average, do you spend exercising your dog(s)?

I work from home, so spend about 2 full hours or more a day walking Zoe or letting her run in the big field by our house.

She is sleeping on her kong.

Do you use a "doggy voice" when you talk to your dog(s)?

haha! Yup! And i call Matisse 'puppy' all the time, like, ahem..*puts on silly high pitched doggy voice* 'oh where's the puppy's paw? Aw wee puppy wanna roll over?'
WHY?? lol

He's sleeping in his crate, it's way past his bedtime!

Was it temperament or looks that made you pick your dog?

I was 9 when we got him, but it was definitely temperament. They all looked the same to us anyway! He was just really friendly, the other pups were all running around play-fighting and he was saying hello to us! It was so cute!

He's outside, asleep on the deck.

Where did you get your dog/dogs from? Shelter, breeder, pet shop, friend etc...

We got our angel at the SPCA- shelter. She licked my whole face and that was that.

She's with Daddy on her way to pick up our girls.

Do you take holiday pictures and make cards with your dog(s)?

I got Pepe and Lillian from my rescue group. I got Flicka from a breed rescue. My next dog will likely be from a breeder.

Everybody's just hanging out around the house. Matt and Tigger and Rover are over, so it's just fun fun fun! Lillian's on my lap.

Are your family members "pet people", or are you the odd one out?

I'm the odd one out. The only other people in my family (keep in mind my mum has 12 siblings and my dad has 4) that has dogs is one of my uncles - who has Dobes, Rotties, GSDs and at one point a couple Filas to protect his wife's family's estate, as well as a Poodle as a "house dog" - and my cousin who has two Bandogs to protect his office. Both uncle and cousin are from Brazil hence property protectors. Another uncle also has a Standard American Eskimo Dog as his trucking companion and my aunt used to have a gorgeous Great Dane X but had to put him down a few years ago.

Both are over with my dad sucking as much attention out of him as they can get.

Does you dog understand the concept of licking an ice cream cone? If yes, do you ever share an ice cream cone with him/her?

Yes he understands it but no he doesn't share ice cream cones.

He's downstairs, he just seen a dog walk past so now he wants to go say hello, and he can't so he's whimpering.

How did your dog react to the fireworks?

I don't, but my husband loves to blow in her face. She hates it!

She's out on the deck chasing bugs.

Do you let your dog sleep on the bed with you?

YES! Rob likes to work late alot so Kona is my little snuggle bug. She even gets under the blankie and snuggles as close to my chest as she can.

She is sitting in the floor, happy because she got a piece of pizza crust.

Where is your dog's FAVE place to go?
