Ahh everything just seems to be coming together.

I am finishing up my first semester of graduate school here in the next few weeks. Finished one of my classes with an A already.

In a couple weeks I will be watching my boyfriend and his dad and uncle all race together, which will be fun! And I will be moving in with my boyfriend into a townhome that is really nice the next weekend after that!

Officially starting at the dog training place.. Which I am just in love with. I love training people how to train their dogs, and from the few classes I have watched/assisted in so far I am just loving it, I don't know why I didn't consider being a dog trainer at least part time before.

I also found a place that sounds really cool for a possible internship for the last half of my degree, it's a place that uses horses for animal therapy with populations I actually want to work with (depression, PTSD, anxiety, couples, etc). It sounds like an awesome place!

3 finch feeders on an acre and a half of land, no longer doing my black oil sunflower because while finches like it, too many pest birds and chipmunks.

I am swimming in goldfinches. Freaking love these guys :) get different finches too, but so many goldfinches.

I saw some friends that I hadn't seen since I moved and it was like I never left! I was nervous beforehand that it would be awkward because of how long it had been but it wasn't awkward at all! Also, I rode a rollercoaster for the first time and that was fun haha :D

What to do when it's 100 degrees outside? Go to the springs, of course :D

Oh how I love where I live! There are over 900 freshwater springs located in Florida and my county (and a few surrounding counties) just happen to have some of the best AND least known about ;)

(p.s. not my photo because I'm too lazy to load mine lol)

Oh I'm jealous! That's so gorgeous! I might live in the state of 10,000+ lakes but they are all, or the vast majority, are dirty/mucky looking.

Most of our rivers are like that (dark/mucky looking), but the springs here you can see all the way down to the bottom... they are crystal clear and absolutely gorgeous.

They also stay a constant 68-70 degrees year round which makes for an absolutely refreshing swim in this hot and humid weather! :)

2.5ish more weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banana::cheers::banana:

I can't even comprehend. Like....really. No comprehension. I saw them putting up the homecoming signs on base and I got the most nerve wracking butterflies ever. It's been 7 months. It is going to be so weird adapting to having another person in the house again. But so brilliant! AAAAHHHHH!!! :D

I'm so happy for everyone in this thread :D

...

Anyways, I've been doing better (very, very recently, but I feel like I'm in it for the long haul). I still miss Nyx every single day, but it doesn't hurt as much all the time. I still think about him nearly all day, but I'm getting back to not being a shitty friend to my other friend. Keeping basically everyone away from me aside from her, though. She's a great person, and we've actually been able to pick up right where we left off at high school, lol. I am so thankful to have her for a friend.

The whole TWLOHA movement has been helping me a LOT lately- got the movie, been reading Jamie's book and the blog, etc. I know I need therapy, but that's not happening any day soon. However, I've been coping alright. Roxie has been the biggest help. I would not be here without her. There've been a few events where I thought I was at the end and couldn't handle life anymore, but Roxie has continued to faithfully bring me out of that and keep me alive. I don't know what I am going to do without her. Hopefully I grow and continue to recover and get stronger before she passes away so I can deal with it in a healthy way. I'm scared for that day, though. Really, really scared.

I am finally getting my sleeping schedule back to "normal", which I feel like has been a HUGE hurdle to deal with both my depression and apathy. It's not going to be a cure-all, but I've noticed a huge difference on days that I get up early and slept well. This has been a really big issue for me for many, many years- ever since I was a kid, really. But I feel like this is a big step forward. I'm moving, not inches- loads, loads slower, but I think I'm finally getting my life on track. I'm trying very hard to get un-stuck.

I'm still not emotionally all there, but... I'm getting better. I'm not completely emotionally unavailable, which has been an issue for SO long because of what I dealt with when I was friends with Nyx. It's going to be a very long time before I can handle an emotionally-involved relationship, whether it's friendship or otherwise.

I'm just gonna leave this here: http://twloha.com/blog/there-still-some-time/

It's helped me a lot.

Just finished my welcome home project for Michael! Well, the nerdy one, anyway.

We all game, so some friends and I made him a welcome home spectacular on Minecraft. First, he'll get in a cart and go down an awesome network of tunnels with flashing lights and cool things. The cart dumps him out into an underground cavern. He'll walk out onto a balcony into the cavern where I decorated the walls of the cave - one side with the Seabee logo and the other two sides with pixelated pinups. :p He'll walk on a sky ramp made of glass to go BEHIND the Seabee logo into ANOTHER cavern, where a friend made a replica of some WWII battleship. And he'll be able to go onto the ship, explore, and also shoot the cannons to blow up the cavern walls.

That sounds sooooooooooo nerdy, but we're all so looking forward to him seeing everything. LOL We put a lot of hours into making it for him. We didn't make it in creative mode, but survival mode, and holy crap did it a.) take forever to get to the point we had the resources b.) mine out the stupid caverns, and c.) prevent mobs from spawning and blowing things up. Not to mention getting rid of all of the lava so the ship made of wool wouldn't catch on fire. lol

Caved and went to a walk-in clinic yesterday. Just didn't use my insurance card. Wouldn't have been covered anyway. Learned my lesson on that years ago. $600 for allergy testing with insurance, and $300 for allergy testing without.

Anyway, he said I had a Sinus infection and ruptured ear drum. They gave me the biggest antibiotics I have ever seen. He said my sense of smell would or should come back within 10 days. Thank goodness!!! It already feels like things are starting to break up, even little bit. So that is also a plus.

I'm drunk and just want to brag about my awesome grouo of friends.

I'm starting to feel anxious and excited about DH coming home, so we had an impromptu long distance drinking party. Where the conversation started off fairly innocent, but quickly devolved in to the topic of being BDSM cross dressing pirates. :rofl1: And it just kept going south from there. For about three hours. XD Now I'm drunk, relaxed, happy, and about ready to turn off the light and go to bed.

Having such a good group of friends to relax and bullshit with, even when we aren't gaming, even though they're states away and two of them we have never met in person....they kept me sane this deployment and I can't imagine not having them around. #feelingsappy
