Target wants to give me an interview. Fingers crossed! I need everything I can get right now and it's literally the easiest place for me to get to because it's right up the road.
That's so awesome! Crossing my fingers for you. Good luck, I really hope this will work out for you.

Thanks! :D

I took my phone interview Thursday, then they called back a couple of hours later and asked me to come in for the full one today, and I got hired! Retail but yay!

Now I have to see how this will pan out with my original PT job schedule.

At 11 years old, Liz came through her splenectomy with flying colors and is doing AWESOME today. I'm so glad we caught it before it ruptured and that she's so strong and healthy otherwise. My million dollar dog <3

Finally some good feels for my household. I have been job hopping the last few months, not out of necessity really, I just kept getting better and better offers. I was content with my 7 days a week, two job status but BeAu pushed me to give an interview to a big company who had been after me for the last few months.

I went today....and they offered me salary. Salary. I. Make. Salary.

Wat.

I can quit both of my jobs now, still be occupied with something to do, and live even more comfortably than we already do. I am matching, actually exceeding, BeAu's current pay.

Never thought I would be the strong business woman type, heels and a dress suit. Office, here I come.

THAT'S SO AWESOME! Seriously, super exciting! I'm happy for you! I've never had a job like that, so I'll have to live vicariously lol

YEAH!!! I found the (almost complete) collector's edition X-Files collection I thought I had lost (or even worse thought I had lent to someone who didnt give it back!) It turned out to be packed away for "safe keeping" in a box, LOL, so safe even I couldnt find them!

I was so broken up about it, I only need two more seasons and it will be complete!

My hours/days at work just got shuffled around and I'm pleased!

Instead of working three 10 hour days (MWF) I'm now working a full 10 hour day Monday and Friday, and then 7-2 Tuesdays and Thursdays with Weds and weekends off. Not only does this mean I will have an extra 6-7 hours a week (which means a couple more hundred a month in monies!), I also now have THREE afternoons a week for being home/running errands/what have you. And T+R are our surgery days, so I'll get more experience in those areas.

Hooray! Hope it works out the way I'm hoping. I can't mentally handle four 10 hour days all in a row (which is what they wanted me to do for full time), but this should be perfect.

I'm really jealous that your half day on Tuesday then runs into having Wednesday off. For a really short period when I first started my job, I worked 8-2 on Weds and then had Thurs off. It was SO nice and felt like I had so much free time. Then I all of a sudden got stuck working 6:45-5:45 on Weds, and even though they kept telling me I'd go back to my half day when the busy season ended... well, here we are 2 years later and that never happened.

I need the hours of course and didn't want them cut, but man I really miss having the afternoon + the whole next day off!

That sounds nice!

I work 2 normal days and 2 long days right now. When I add Tuesday's, it'll be a short 6 hour day. I AM SO EXCITED to work less than 8 hours in a day.

While it can be annoying, I really am well suited to vet tech hours. I really don't mind working evenings, or long hours some days to get more time off other days.

Ditto! I love complaining about my hours lol but seriously.... I work 11 hours on MWF. 4 or 5 hours on Tues (morning off). And I have Thurs off. The long days can suck but I don't honestly think I could do a typical M-F schedule. I have a decent amount of free time this way, and I have 2 days during the week that I get to sleep in. :p

SO and I both have a week off together in May - over our anniversary. So instead of gifts or something, we're going away for the week. We found a cute cabin up near the beach by the north sea that's inexpesive and doesn't bust our budget for our 2-Week-Vacation to Sweden in September :) Yaayyy for vacations.

Hope everyone is having an awesome Valentine's Day today! :D

I was finally able to order my sisters' x-mas gifts. Yay! Also got to buy some joring stuff for Roxie- just a harness, line, and belt. I cannot wait till it gets here, I am so excited.

I have officially accepted the offer and officially turned in my notice, so it's officially official.

I (finally finally) got a new job.
