Got my new work schedule! I'll be working 4 days a week with Thursday and Saturday off (we're closed Sunday). Yay :D I am so pleased and excited!

My monthly income will be nearly double what I got at my former job. That will be weird! But definitely nice and something I can get used to ;)

Went for a run (and obstacles) with the dogs and my friend. Iz kept up well and had lots of fun and I made it the whole way without walking much.

So yay! I earned some rice for dinner lol

Thanks!!!! :D

Also, hubby's hours got switched from 2nd shift to 1st...first time we'll be able to have weekday evenings together...LOVE it, so happy.
That's fantastic! Matt worked night shift our first year of marriage and it was so flipping hard.

My kiddo is back to daycare after a month off. He is doing great at his new daycare (he started there two weeks before his month break). For once he is actually not fussing every day before "school" and is excited to go :) When we pick him up, we get a kiddo who babbles about his day, not just talking about getting home. So refreshing.

I got the job at the zoo!!!
WOOT!!!! Btw, check the mail today. If not today, tomorrow. :)

the flight delay meant I couldn't get Hudson last night. Getting my puppy today. YAY. I've missed my spazzy boy
I know that feeling. So happy you have him.

Isn't it awesome when that happens?

My yay - finally (mostly) done moving. It's been a week of moving and packing and cleaning and organizing and I'm done.

Just spent three hours cleaning everything that needed to be cleaned. This place feels lovely AND I now have the afternoon free to hang out with my dog.. who is still asleep on the couch.

She does have one hell of an off switch ahah

I think all my ducks are lining up appropriately for my time home in October! Have a pet sitter lined up for the creatures, my parents are helping me with air fare (so I can afford the pet sitter o_O), and I was able to coordinate my time off work with other coworker's schedules. Whoot!

Looking forward to that will help make Michael's field exercises pass by quicker.

I finally got a game cam to put up to see what's creeping around my woods! Been wanting one a while and got a 80$( cheap for one!) on sale for thirty from fin! It's odd how happy excited I am about this. (Although nothing will be out tonight as neighbors are doing the fireworks again!).

And my little brother is supposed to come visit this oct. He is in the army in Kansas. Bad news is his girlfriend is working at a zoo there and she is coming home to stay then and I really wanted to make it out there before she came back for an awesome zoo tour!

And I am completely on day shift in two weeks!

My good news: we have a king bed! YAY ROOM. I still take up the whole thing, but whatevs. We also set up and decorated the crate, so I have a perfect bedside table.
So jealous! I've been wanting a king sized bed for forever. Our queen feels way too small with dog(s) and people in it LOL. Unfortunately for me, beds are expensive!

If you can spend a grand, you can get a latex king off of amazon (search mattresses and it's the highest rated one - bamboo cover and 10 ratings for firmness) as well as the sheets, bedding, and frame with room for under bed storage that we have. We don't have pillows yet, and we haven't decided on a headboard or anything, but I think it still looks good.

If you're interested, just PM me and I can link you to everything we got. It looks awesome, feels awesome, and cost us less than $1k, which is typically a starting price for just the mattress if you go to the store.

Genuinely don't know how people sleep in anything smaller now...
