Brian got very encouraging news about work. He is basically on contract right now through a secondary company so we disn't know if it would just be over in 6 months or if they would hire him. Well he has gotten a lot of great feedback and lots of encouragment and all the bosses want to keep him and they have convinced the money/budget people that he is an asset. Now there is a bit of politics of course. To make room in the "teams" budget they have to give the lead guy a new title but they have to make sure it isn't a title that they just got rid of, etc. that kind of stuff but it seems everyone is bending over backwards to make it work so they can keep him.

If or when that happens... That will change our lives in so many amazing ways. We are praying about it a lot and he should have a definitive answer in the next two weeks. So if you can spare a prayer for us i would appreciate it :)

I have this weekend off! :D Whoot! Granted, I still have a lot of stuff to do, but it can all be done at my pace, on my own time. Hooray!

SO happy for you all -- and especially Brian :) Just the fact that they want to keep him so badly has to make him stand up straighter and smile bigger :)

I snagged a ride to the Afghan hound family reunion! After looking forward to it for a whole year then suddenly not being able to go, suddenly I have a ride! Over the moon about it!

Also even though the is no flight in sight for my new saluki, one of the volunteers drove out to the rescue to take some pics and videos of him for me!

Just got off the phone with a possible job offer, go to finalize details tomorrow morning if all goes well and could start Wednesday. I can still work at the kennel, but they've slowed their hours and after repeated requests on my end for them to figure out a schedule and it not happening, at least now I know I have some income coming in each month, spring break, Christmas break and summer break off (nanny for a teacher), can bring the kiddo with me, UI for the summer months and when I'm off, it'll be busy at the kennel so I can pick up hours.

If it all works out, it'll save a lot of stress between now and when both kids are in school full time days and childcare isn't as much of a stresser.

Thank you :)

I just said to him "everything else aside... Isn't it just so nice to be appreciated at work". He is busy at this job but so much less stressed. He is so much happier and healthier :)

Weekend off YAY! And I made it count by staying up late, sleeping a million hours, and the weather is finally GORGEOUS and feels like fall instead of scorching summer. Couldn't ask for a better weekend.

Today is my last long day at work. Not looking forward to 8 hours on my already aching feet but at least it's the last time. Also just applied for some really cool jobs that I hope I get!

- I requested somewhere around 10-15 gardening catalogs for next year. As this fall weather reminded me, it's time to start dreaming about next year's garden!

- Watching the turkey and deer from my kitchen window, and thinking about how much I love living in a place so crammed with wildlife.

- Happy that the weather is so nice and cool.

- My house is nice and clean. That always makes me feel so relaxed.

My house is almost picked up for my party tonight. My boyfriend really stepped up and did a lot; he's a hero.

Also my fish tank disaster didn't destroy anything, so that's good.

The school year is off to a great start! My kids are super focused, hard workers, and seem to really want to learn. I'm really anticipating getting a lot done with them this year.

I spent today out in the sunshine at an outdoor agility trial. Lucy's showing good progress, I hung out with friends for the day, and I got vitamin D :) In two weeks we're headed up to NJ for lure coursing, woo-hoo!

I have the bestest husband in the world. Seriously. I am so lucky to have married him.

I've had the last two days off of work, and I have accomplished SO MUCH.

On Friday, I managed to write a 10-page paper on Exocrine Pancreatic Insuffiency for my Anatomy & Physiology class, do three loads of laundry, sweep and wash all the tiled floors in my house (kitchen, entryway, bathroom), take Jack for a long walk. Today I vacuumed all my carpeted floors, did about two hours worth of studying/reading for my Anatomy & Physiology final, made ALL THE FROZEN KONGS (a total of 10), took Jack for another long walk, and did SIX LOADS of laundry. I also went to the bank, balanced my checkbook, paid bills, and got Jack's microchip registration straightened out.

Not to mention that I accomplished all of this while spending my mornings/evenings at SaraB's house watching Classic while she's gone. :D

I absolutely love when I have productive days like this. Now, if only I didn't have to go to work... :p

Just got a Lampe Berger - slightly more expensive than the one I originally had in mind but alot prettier and a much larger fragrance capacity. It's a investment anyways and I'll have it for pretty much forever so I don't mind paying the $40 odd more for it now. And it's working fabulously!

I am officially past my midway weight loss goal.. And lost 47.5 lbs so far. I actually have less than half to go, but this was a pretty big goal I set myself. I feel soooo much better!

We just arrived in Fripp Island, SC, for a vacation... And we're picking up four of my friends from Germany tomorrow. I haven't seen them for 5 years now. We rented a house right on the beach <3

Congratulations Jules :)

Good news today is after the storms that fried the circuit for our living room yesterday came this beautiful cool morning. Only about 60 degrees right. It is glorious. I am sitting out on the porch enjoying my coffee before heading off to church
