The dog musing/vent thread

My aunt and uncle's breeder has decided she might keep the only yellow female in the litter, boo! They are not willing to do a different color so now we have to try to find another breeder which most likely means they'll have to wait longer now. I really hope they stick with a good breeder and don't cave and go to some BYB. The breeder may decide to put the pup up for sale closer to 8 weeks if she doesn't end up being what she's looking for and my uncle told her they're still interested if that happens but I don't hold out much hope. I'm way more sad than I should be, I feel like I'm the one not getting a puppy.
Sure they don't want a black male pup? =P (Sherman will be ready to go in two weeks, I hope!)
In all seriousness, though, that really sucks.
I hope it will work out, though. Abrams was originally reserved for someone else when the litter was born, but they backed out when he was a few weeks old. Hope something similar happens with your Aunt and Uncle!

Jari. I leave you for 10 days and you have free roam of the house on little exercise and everything is fine. I leave to go to my parents' for a few hours and you tear a giant hole in the carpet. Does not compute. Why you do this. You just had agility this morning and did the whole demo dog thing. ARGH.
I have officially left Fable with a sitter for the first time ever. And I feel terrible. Just the look she gave me as I walked out the door wrenched my heart. It didn't help that I dropped her off at the dog rescue I volunteer for (and where I adopted her from), because the lady that is watching her is one of the owners and she couldn't take Fable back to her place until they closed the rescue for the night. Fable won't be staying at the rescue, but I feel kind of bad that I left her there. She's with people she loves, but I don't know how she feels about being back there.
Only 13 more days until I get to see her again. :cry:
