Saxon was fantastic at the vet, despite waiting an hour to be seen.

And no, no he will NOT be neutered at 14 weeks. Or ever.

It's amazing the difference I already notice in Happy's breath now that she's been muzzled for outdoor trips the past 3 days, and unable to eat all the poopsicles. Kind of a pain in the butt to have to put on her though. Thankfully she doesn't usually ask to go out much.

I still find it completely disgusting that it has even come to this though. Lol poop eating dogs... gross.

Mom: I didn't appreciate them knocking me over that one morning.
Me: *laughing* PEPPER? Pepper knocked you over.
Mom: I was in pain! And they were jumping on me!
Me: Pepper! Pepper weighs SEVENTEEN POUNDS. Georgie weighs 12!
Mom: I was kneeling over trying to let them out and they jumped on me and it hurt!!
Me: *still laughing* PEPPER. Little old Pepper! Pushed you down?? That big mean old Pepper!

She didn't appreciate the humor.

Well...... I've 99% decided to pull out of crufts and retire Fred from showing.

This prob seems a bit sudden, but there's a long and boring story behind it. I'm pretty gutted, but hugely relieved at the same time.

Very confusing. Does mean we might be able to snip though fugly dangle sacks off sometime soonish though!!! Win!!

:(

I will definitely be dabbling, or more than dabbling, with next dog. I didn't buy Fred to show, and have learnt SOOOOOOOOOOO much from it. So been positive!!

I decided to try not crating Leo when I left for an hour last night. He wasn't terrible, but he did shred a paper and eat...an entire bar of soap. So, that privilege is not going to be happening any time soon.

Miraculously, he did not throw up OR have diarrhea the next morning. Apparently, he has a stomach of steel, or it was very forgiving soap. Some of his poop was soap colored, and thats about it.

Summer is so confused as to why I won't let her in the house with her dirt and grass covered beef rib.

But you let me have the bully sticks inside! Why can't I take my chew inside?

I say, 'Okay, let's go inside!' and she runs out and grabs the rib then comes to the door.

Poor abused dog.

I know this doesn't seem like a huge deal, but Snitch is a HUGE foodie...seriously this puppy will inhale his food if he's fed in a bowl and will go to the ends of the earth for food. So for him to work around the bowl of food on the floor took some massive impulse control, proud of the little dude and how he's coming along.

Today is one of those days (and I truly don't have them often at all) that I wish I didn't have dogs and do dog things/have a job that requires me to be so physical. I bruised my tailbone last week slipping on ice and I just cannot take a break from my normal life so I'm stuck being in pain. Well, I could take a break but that means not making money and having really crazed dogs in my house. Not fun :(

I notice a blue self merle, short haired dog walk into the store.
Me: "Is your dog a Catahoula?"
Owner: "No, he's a Plott Hound."
Me: "Oh, I thought they only came in brindle."
Owner: "... he is a blue brindle."
Me: "... ... ... okay..."

The dog was this color. Except short hair. And he looked like a Catahoula.

Plotts don't have to be brindle but that would not fall under acceptable plott coloring I don't think.

From AKC breed standard:
Color
Any shade of brindle (a streaked or striped pattern of dark hair imposed on a lighter background) is preferred. This includes the following brindle factors: yellow, buckskin, tan, brown, chocolate, liver, orange, red, light or dark gray, blue or Maltese, dilute black, and black. Other acceptable Plott colors are solid black, any shade of brindle, with black saddle, and black with brindle trim. A rare buckskin, devoid of any brindle, sometimes appears among litters; ranging from red fawn, sandy red, light cream, and yellow ochre, to dark fawn and golden tan. Some white on chest and feet is permissible as is a graying effect around the jaws and muzzle.

Nothing quite like a puppy to make a person appreciate everything their adult dogs know...haha

Bought two slabs of spare ribs last night. For Ezra. I ate chips and salsa for dinner.

And OMG what a difference a nice sharp knife makes! Doesn't hurt that they're all new and brightly colored. :)

And the dog threw up in his crate :( He's thrown up a couple times before, but only one incident at a time. I hope nothing is wrong with him. He's acting totally normal.

And she is kind of super adorably awkward when she plays with other dogs, she just play bows over and over and runs away, and then when they don't chase her she's all
Harleigh would love her! She does the same exact thing (well most of the time she throws in some barking:rolleyes:)... and no one will ever play chase with her.

She has a sad:(
