German Shepherd (Black and tan, long haired. I ADORE this breed)
Doberman Pinscher (cropped and docked, Black and tan)
Rough collie (sable, Probly the only person in the world who doent like Merle or tri colour collies lol)
Afghan hound (I have always admired these dogs. and was *this* close to adopting a friends. But they decided to take him with them when they moved instead)

I honestly cant think of another breed whe I just go "gaga" when I see them. I think alot of breeds are lovley looking. But when I see those 4 up there, My jaw drops. lol

I wanted to put poodes up. But honetly I dont go gaga for their looks. Which is funny, becase poodles are one of my all time favourite breeds. Im on the hunt for a mini poodle right now. I love their attitude, looks could be better, But they are awsome dogs.lol.

To me all puppies are cute at birth but there's nothing like a larger breed at 8 weeks old ! Cute adults to me are more along the toy breeds .... larger are beautiful or handsome with cute expressions ~ like my Ollie !

In no particular order after #1

1. Aussies
2. Rotties
3. Filas
4. Paps
5. Labs

Beagles are probably some of the cutest dogs out there, especially as puppies. You won't catch me owning one though!

I agree with that ^^^. For the most part I think "cute" = puppies.

In adult dogs "cute" to me = the toys and smaller breeds ... most especially the ones with button eyes and lots of fur like Maltese, Yorkies, Westies, Papillons, Coton de Tulear, Havanese, etc.

Not all toy/small breeds though ... a few I think are just downright ugly, and that whole "so ugly it's cute" thing makes NO sense at all to me. Would rather not say which breeds though 'cause I think they have their fans here. Besides, preference is a personal thing after all.

The only think I'd differ on is that I do think a few large dogs fit the "cute" category even as adults, by their expressive faces. Example is that I just absolutely melt when looking at Goldens ... those expressive eyes and the smiles on those big ol' teddy bear faces. :) I think the same of Aussies ... cute expressive faces even when fully grown.

LOL!! I wasn't talking about it today but definitely thinking about it. Stepson's bio-mom craves one of the very toy breeds in question .... when she dropped off stepson today she was talking about it, saying the usual "Oh can't you just love them? They're so ugly they're cute!!" Didn't wanna be rude so I was like "Uhhh ... yeah." ;)

Lol, this is why boxers aren't on my list. Love them dearly, but unless they're puppies I don't find them particularly cute... but my family does always joke "they're so ugly, they're cute!" It is true in some cases lol... Juno has the goofiest look on he face 99% of the time but it just adds to her personality and therefore makes her cute. :p
