What is your opinion on this food. I bought a bag last night that was $24.99 for the 15 pound bag. Lola did have some of the food from a free sample bag and she seemed to really like it but then again she would eat anything :)

The ingredients are:

Bison, lamb meal, chicken meal, egg product, sweet potatoes, peas, potatoes, canola oil, roasted bison, roasted venison, natural flavor, tomato pomace, ocean fish meal, salt, choline chloride, dried chicory root, tomatoes, blueberries, raspberries, yucca schidigera extract, dried fermentation products of Enterococcus faecium, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus plantarum, dried Trichoderma longibrachiatum fermentation extract, vitamin E supplement, iron proteinate, zinc proteinate, copper proteinate, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper sulfate, potassium iodide, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), manganese proteinate, manganous oxide, ascorbic acid, vitamin A supplement, biotin, niacin, calcium pantothenate, manganese sulfate, sodium selenite, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), vitamin B12 supplement, riboflavin (vitamin B2), vitamin D supplement, folic acid.

I like the food as a lower cost option to other grain free foods.

The only reason we cannot carry it is because it's manufactured by Diamond and it uses Ethyoxyquin to preserve the fish (which i think is changing in the upcoming year?).

It's supposed to have already changed... though they never made an official announcement, or put "ethyoxyquin free" on the bag or anything, which you think they would. But I don't know. They sent a few e-mails to customers who asked, stating it was indeed NOT used anymore.

I think TOTW is a good food and the price is awesome. If I wasn't so happy with Orijen/Acana, I would probably feed it.

MandyPug, Diamond has already made the change and does NOT use ethoxyquin any longer in any bags with expiration dates of May 15th 2011 and later.

This is the reason I went back to TOTW. My dogs love the Pacific Stream.

Yep. I personally love TOTW and my dogs have done much better on it than on all the other grain free foods.

That's why i put a question mark in there, i wasn't for sure when it was changing. Since we don't carry that product i don't look into it that much. I know the franchiser is never going to change his mind about it either.

I can't help with the comparison, but I will say that the Pacific Stream TOTW improved Chloe's skin noticeably even over raw. It's in our rotation.

I tried the ToTW Pacific Stream and didn't have much luck with it to be honest. Lacey did fine, but she can eat anything. Lestat lost 2 lbs and blew his coat, and he was being fed the normal suggested amount. We ended up switching after the bag was empty.

It's delicious!:) I prefer the one with the bison in it...seems to have more meat and more variety of meat than the other one. IMO, TOTW is a better food than Wellness. You can do a comparison of the two...their ingredients and see what you think. There are several premium foods out there that are good. Chicken Soup for the dog lovers soul has lots of good stuff in it. And it seems to be very palatable. Some are significantly more expensive than others without being proportionately better. (imo)
