I have an older Yorkie and for a couple of months and at least once or twice a week, my Cidney would drink lots of water, eat grass and throw it up for half the day. His stomach would sound like an alien was inside trying to get out and he looked like he was in pain. I finally figured out that if I could get him to eat in the morning and early evening this would keep him from getting sick. Now I am having a hard time getting him to eat when he is suppose to. I can even predict the time his sickness will come on if he doesnt eat when he needs to. I try to put a little chicken in his food or steak just to get him interested in his food and will hand feed him when necessary. Twice I have had to take tiny pieces of soft and smouch it between his teeth just to get something in his stomach. Within minutes of getting food in him he starts to feel better. I dont know what to make of this and the vet tells me to just add baby food to his soft food but that didnt work either. I am thinking his symptoms are because of something, I suppose I will have to get a second opinion from another vet.

I am not an expert but it doesn't sound like diabetes to me. I would go to a different Vet and get another opinion. Something is definately going on. How old is your little guy? Dogs can get finicky when they are elderly but it sounds as though he has some digestive issues. Keep us posted!
