I don't believe in the death penalty. I oppose the death penalty even if someone murder my own son, friend, myself, ect. I think the only one to determine if whomever should die, is God.

I believe they spend WAY too much money on the cocktail they use to kill the people 'humanely'.

A bullet is less expensive and wouldn't cost the taxpayers near as much money.

As for the death penalty itself, I think it should stand. The only thing preventing me from saying let them rot for Life in prison is that the prisons would get filled up eventually and that costs money, too.

I have no problem with it. IF there is 100% certainity that the person is guilty of murder.

I don't even much believe in putting dogs to sleep for what ever reason. Oh and don't get me started on the Terri Schiavo case or abortion!! Very Pro-Life if you haven't notice ;)

I don't know how I feel about it. I mean yeah I think the death penalty is a good idea. Like onion said they prisons would just fill up and depending on where you live you could be on death row until you die from natural causes.

However I think the death penalty should be to leave them with the other inmates and let them take care of it.

And if they were wrongly convicted, they die suffering for a crime they didn't commit? Oh okay, its okay for a human to endure suffering like that, put if they wanted to kill a pit bull for killing another pit bull and/or dog and/or person it would be wrong?

well just one thing i have to say and I am sure this will bother some people BUT.... You said before that the only person that should decide when someone dies is god. Ok thats all well and good but then you say that you are angry about schiavo. How can that be. If God had it his way she would have passed a long time before that but WE kept her alive. We used our technology to keep her alive when in all other senses she was already "dead". If we hadn't intervened she would have died on her own.

Ok I'm done

People live in pain, but yet love life. In one case this boy had to endure pain all his life from a skin disease, but he didn't want to die, just to end his suffering.

And lots of people take their own lives because they can't stand the pain anymore

What kind of life is it if it is nothing more than pain and suffering and counting the days until the pain stops.

So what about vaccines, those are made by humans to help stay alive, I don't think there's nothing wrong about promoting longer lives.

That's why they take the matter into their own hands.

I've always believed there's no such thing as a suicidal person. If they're truly suicidal they'd be dead already.

But with dogs (and other non-verbal entities) we can't ask "do you feel like ending it?" we just assume that yes, it's the right thing to do.

promoting longer lives when you are healthy and able to fend for yourself is one thing. doing it to someone who is completely brain dead and has no sense of ANYTHING and has NO chance of recovering is not promoting longer life. THAT is not life.

Were it me in that situation I would want to die and be at peace.

That's them, that's not everyone though, some are just grateful they have a life to start with.
