Superficial reasons you aren't into certain breeds?

RE: tails. Dogs use their tails SO MUCH, SO MUCH! For so many things.

Also, I love how tails look.

Oh if they banned cropping and docking here there are several breeds I wouldn't own ever simply because of that, I would actively search out dogs with natural bobs and prick ears, I prefer nubbins and standy ears.

Beards - ew

No tails

Pants that are long enough that poop gets stuck, no thank you. I like absolutely no feathering or a tiny bit...Kas is ok but absolutely no longer.

Pink rimmed eyes

White faces with no color breaks

Mostly white bodies are not my fave but would make do if I had to (DH wants a JRT someday)

Teary eyes

Underbites

Curly tails

Sold white or really light colors, too much hassle to keep clean.
The heads on some badly bred Chis :yikes:
Fur that poop can get stuck into.
Really long ears.

Grimm's sad you all don't like his eyes. Admittedly when he does the "Catahoula stare" his Bi eyes can be a little unsettling.

I can't do excessive
drooling
Tear stains
Coats that need a lot of attention
All white (I love in red clay country)
Breeds that love EVERYONE

That is one thing here too. My friends's BCs are always red and black vs black and white. I have to rinse the paps off all the time because of the clay.

I actually mind if most on merles. Red clay on blue merle looks really bad.

I think that, like with split face markings, it just takes getting used to. Lodin's grandma had a watch eye (one blue one brown) and at first it really threw me but over time I was around her enough that I hardly noticed. Just changes the dog's look so much that it takes those us with symmetrical dogs a while to get used to, especially when the contrast is between ice blue and dark brown.

The ones I see in shows trotting along always remind me of the canine version of Cartman when viewed from the front...

I legited LOL'd at this. I am always going to see it this way whenever I watch shows now ahahahaha.

First off LOL :rofl1: If I ever own the breed I know what his name will be :p

I've been seeing a lot of posts show up on FB that at first glance I'm like "What a weirdly shaped Border Collie"
Only to find that they are Aussies with tails. Which makes everything better. I apparently like Australian Shepherds with tails. Who woulda thought.

Any breed that I have to bend over to pet.
Sorry but any breed that looks fragile to me, I can't do.

I don't really like super short single coats. Even short double coats are pushing it. There are definitely breeds that would be a good fit for me, but I'm not that interested because they have short coats. I love a coat with some feathering, even a very small amount.
