Stressed: Foreclosing on my apartment building...

I got the notice in the mail today, and its going up for public auction on October 26th.... and I'm terrified that they are going to put everybody out and I'm gonna have nowhere to live...

I know that they have to give us 90 days (according to the paper I got) but how I got this place is a miracle in itself, my credit is shot all to hell, and I dont know where else I could go, that would be in my price range like this place is..

I know when my husband's old apartment was bought, the idea was to turn the apartments from crummy old ones into "luxury" apartments. The buyers weren't stupid though--they didn't want to give up good leases to renovate the whole place. They basically let people decide whether or not to re-up their leases each year, and when someone decided to leave they'd renovate the place quickly and the next month it would rent for double the original price. If he had wanted to stay for another year though, he could have. (TLDR: They didn't kick anyone out)

My original lease "is" technically over as of April 30th of this year, but according to it, once it is over it became a month to month lease.

ETA: I meant to say "WAS" over as of April of this year.

Thanks cali... I really really hoping that Im just jumping the gun and overreacting...

because JUST back in August a new property management took over our complex, and I thought that, that was all there was too it, and then this...
