I've been getting ready to go somewhere this morning, and I noticed Suzie's eyes a minute ago. She was keeping one of them almost closed, and the other one was a little glazed? I guess you could call it that. And the skin thing that covers the eyes was partly over her eye. Wen we get home, I'm going to call the vet I think, but could you guys maybe give me some ideas as to what it could be?

I'll be gone till 2ish, and I'm debating calling the vet now to set up an appointment as soon as possible. :( I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be worrying this much, but she has been showing her age recently, and I'm terrified :(

I'd set up the appointment...if you get back and she's fine you can always cancel. What do you mean by showing her age? You might want to get her checked out anyway, there could be something else wrong with her.

(((hugs))) and ****vibes**** that it's nothing serious!!

Well, I'm home now, and I can see now that it is just one eye that looks infected. Her eye covering is red, and its all goopy. My mom suggested putting borax acid and warm water, and putting it on her eye because that is what she did to us as kids. I told her that I'd rather make an appointment.

So we're going in a couple minutes, hopefully whatever they give us is easy to give to her, I don't like sticking things in dogs eyes.

As for her age, she's been slowing down :( Last night at my brothers game she lay down while I watched, and she NEVER does that. She also has been getting tired on her 30 minute walks in the early morning and late night. She had a full checkup before her spay which was a couple months back, so I think she's still healthy, she is just getting older. She could be 9 by now

Alright, so she has a small cut on her cornea, they called it a cornea ulcersomething

So we have antibiotics, a numbing thing, and the cone of shame :p

Her eye looks really sad, and she's been milking the attention she's been getting. Lucky for her, she hasn't been bothering it, so she doesn't have to wear Teh Cone of Shame. ... . Yet ;)
