I think we should get all the toy dogs and put them up against coke bottles or something. I have a really hard time trying to figure out how the little ones compare to my crew.
That's what the AmBully 'breeders' do - place a coke can under their chest to show how loooow they are.

Mz Ruby is 19.5 in and 45 lbs.

Wow Laur, your dogs seem in pics like they would be smaller than mine (I mean I know I read your measurements but....) But Summer looks bigger than Dekka!
I think they're just tall for their weights? Summer is well over 11 inches but hovers around 7.1-7.6 lbs usually. They're not really that much shorter than my shelties were to be honest, but much lighter. Trey was 13.5 inches and 18 lbs. He and Summer were less than 2 inches apart height-wise. Summer's the biggest of ours by quite a bit.

Buster is 19in and about 43.5lbs.

Ruby is about 24in and just over 68lbs. This is more than she was at the vet in Sept. but she is a lot thinner. She is also shaped like a bowling ball though.

I don't know how tall Tucker is, next time I'm home I'll see if I can measure him without him trying to eat the measuring stick.

He weighs about 14.6 pounds.

JRTs should be about a pound an inch (Dekka is a little tank), and paps are far more slight than JRTs so it makes sense. But still yours look so delicate and pretty I always 'see' them as smaller.

Me too. I assumed they were smaller than they look next to the 2 liter bottle. They're tall and skinny under all though fur, though, in comparison to chis who are shorter/cobbier.

It's just SO hard to judge from pictures. Sometimes mine look really tiny in pictures, but other times they look massive. Pictures are just so deceiving, especially when it's just the dog as the subject.

:rofl1: I'll have to get a can to pose them with.

Mine were kind of near the stove (in the kitchen)

That makes sense. Riatta is a JRT and about 1 inch taller than Summer but over twice as heavy. I think it's funny though. I think my dogs look bigger in pics than they really are. Apparently I'm backwards. :lol-sign:

Its the Whippet that shocks me. About the same size as Buster, but half the weight. He is pretty stocky though compared to the other dogs near his size here, BCs, Tollers, etc.

LOL! Love that picture of Izzie!

Millie
Breed: Border collie/lab mix
Height: 18.5"
Weight: 30 lbs.

Millie's looks can be deceiving. She doesn't have a long coat, but she has an extremely thick undercoat, which hides her muscle.

This is a little better for showing that she's not fat:

Lucy
Breed: Chihuahua
Height: About 9" (She won't stay still for a measurement.)
Weight: 7 lbs.

I have measurements and soda cans pictures :p

Measurements to the shoulder blades, right (like, where their shoulders meet their back).

Emma: 7"

Rylie: 7.5"

Tucker: 8"

Chloe: 9"

These pictures are really terrible. No one wanted to cooperate.

Rylie haz teh woe:

Emma (yes, those are Christmas decorations. I haven't moved them out of the den yet):

What Tucker thinks about doing this:

Chloe, not wanting to do this:

I do not have a picture of Meg near a soda bottle, but I do have my friend's old chihuahua in a frying pan; do I get partial credit?
