I was excited to go take pictures of my guys in the snow and sun today - but of course the sun was gone by the time we got out. And I remembered that my snow pictures tend to not turn out so nice.

Ah well; I haven't posted new pictures of them in a while, so I wanted to share a few at least!

I don't know if it is just because we are finally connecting better (and he's finally grown up into a pretty nice dog to live with), but I think Gusto gets cuter with age.

He was very freaked out by some bird making loud noises up in the trees. So he'd run up, stare into the woods, and then come running back to leap up on my shoulders - his default when he's worried. That's fun, carrying a 27 lb dog uphill in knee deep snow.

Perfect Meggles, who of course gets more and more beautiful with age.

And then we came into the field, where there was much digging. I thought it was really cute for a while, until I remembered that when they did this together last year, they successfully hunted down and killed a muskrat under the snow. Whoops. Luckily they didn't catch anything today.

She is so pretty I can hardly stand it some days.

Ugh, I am so jealous of all of you with warm weather! They say the grass is always greener, I know, but I'm really willing to bet it is greener in your towns :p. I like the snow for a day or two, but then I'm ready for spring. We did two short-ish hikes yesterday, which means I used up three pairs of pants, because I am soaked to the knees each time I come back home.

Meg is so beautiful and Gusto is so...Gusto.
He is perhaps the most aptly named dog! I was sad I didn't get any boinging pictures of him yesterday. Every time Meg gets focused on something in the distance and he thinks there's something going on, he leaps over to her like he's on springs - Gusto here to save the day! Unless it is the scary birds, because he's not going near those.

This one kinda looks like Meg just threw a bunch of snow in Gusto's face LOL.
I am actually 90% certain that is what happened. Meg is such a good, focused hunter, and was really into whatever she was digging for - and stupid Gusto came springing over to her like a giant clown, and she got annoyed and threw snow at him. They are such siblings.

I'm dying of jealousy.
Since I know you and your dogs love the whole snow thing, the three of us are willing to trade places with you for a while if you can promise me 50 degree weather. I'll leave the key under the mat, and I just changed the sheets on the bed. Have fun!

No. It's true. Gusto is getting cuter.
I am glad to have confirmation! Granted, but "cute" I think we may both mean "That is one weird looking dog", but whatever. It is definitely escalating as he ages.

Both your dogs are really cute and look like they enjoy the weather!
Meg is like me - she'll enjoy it for the weekend while it is in the 30s and fresh and new. And then she will **** and moan for the next five months. Gusto really does love the snow.
