Just thought I would share a few of my illustrations and paintings. I grew up working with animals and they are my specialty, my inspiration. If you wish to see more let me know...thanks, smkie

Smkie ~ those are great! I love the cat especially. Truth be told, I'd love to have a copy of it to frame with some of my other fanciful cat pictures I've collected over the years.

More! More! Please?

I llike your poodles!

I see you have two? I wish I knew who owned the ones in the photo for I would send them a copy. I have another pic of when they first met, one poodle had his front leg up as if asking for a handshake. I have the greatest respect for the standards. They are so very smart.

Wow smkie! I am so glad you posted your artwork. You are very talented. Thanks for letting us see your wonderful talent. Is this what you do for a living? If it isn't, it should be!

Hello Lyn, This is how I attempt to make my living.....the one good thing I can do is make someone exactly what they want..like one lady approached me to paint two specific cats (in wedding attire) riding in a pink convertible and make sure that the ring shows... if this will let me post anymore I will put it up. I painted it on a nice wooden chest. Everyone put money in it for the bride and groom..to use as a honeymoon fund. Sometimes customers are a lot of fun like this and sometimes.......they make me crazy. One day I hope to just paint what I want to do..yet I have to work much harder doing what I do and it is probably good for my skill level.

Smkie, yes I have 2! They sure keep me busy & entertained! Over the years I have been owned by many wonderful mixes and 2 Great Danes but once I got Farley I was hooked! He is my goofball & Chloe is my gentle princess. I will always have at least one standard poodle as a companion. They have been a joy to train and altho they are now almost 6 yo & 4 yo we still go to obed. school & they love it! :)

I the better the photo the better i can give, but I can do poses that you don't have pics of if I need to. Can put in other things too.I did two memorials this Christmas...one person wanted the specific toys and some symbolic things as well. Used lots of lemony light in hopes of giving the heaven that I hope they are all in. will have a website up in two weeks or so, but if you want to contact me personally we will see what we can work up. I always do a rough for approval first. Labs have always been my breed of choice until I got a german shorthair.Later I have the mix of g/sh and lab. Labs are still my favorites, and oh yes I can draw them just fine. I got a pic just for you that I will post, I found it today, my old boss taught three siblings to do the musketeers one for all and all for one. One of the dogs in the trio became the mother of my lab. I have pics of them waterski-ing(sp?) too but unfortunatly they are copies I am afraid they won't scan. You can teach a lab just about anything!

As u can see I mess this up to0..I am just not very good at the attachment thing. The first here is a pencil portrait I did for Kelly. One of the dauchsands had an eye defect where there were literally two pupils so I chose a profile tht showed off his best attributes...the pom was a memorial given this Christmas as a gift. Both are just partial scans oh how I wish I had a bigger scanner...the little pom would put her toys all in a circle and lay/lie in the middle. I tried to use lots of warm yellow to make what I think heaven would look like..the golden hour effect. sorry for goofing up the thread.
